Geeez he runs some courageous lines at speed. Joey touched on it about the team as a whole but it's definitely a part of Isaac's game that sticks out for me, whenever our ball players are running at the line he's always on their shoulder and if the oppositions defence aren't 100% committed he's going to break the line or win a fast play the ball.

He's our Daniel Conn of 2013, just goes hard and does his job every week.

Let's hope that Liu doesn't turn out to be the Scrappy Doo of the Roosters.

All the talk at the start of the year about Nappa,Evans, Ailiomi, releasing Symmonds and Cherro then Mose and Tasi. Robbo has un-earthed a special talent here. Trust In Trent!!!!
Have been super impressed the last couple of weeks since he has been getting more game time.
Starting to get a small man crush on Liu

He is very impressive. Makes first grade look easy. Never gets dominated, has a nice sneaky step and occasional offload. Doesn't have the look of a superstar, but looks like a very good first grader in years to come.

He already is a good 1st grader Was it you who mentioend his speed when hitting the ball up ? I really noticed how quick he gets from the ruck to the defensive line last night Big asset to have
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Liu is much better than Conn. Conn was a solid toiler with a lot of heart, but Liu's speed and footwork through the line is a mark of class.

Apparently he's got a killer offload as well which we should see more of in the coming weeks.

With the hype around Napa and Evans, to see how easily Liu is acquitting himself in first grade makes for a very good future for us.

Yeah its the quickest of any player in our team imo. Most runs that he makes get the defence on the backfoot even if he doesn't dominate the contact cos his speed to the line means every player in the D line has to run back 10 metres and quick cos he finds his front a lot and gets a fast play the ball more often than not. As you say he is already a very good first grader in just his first season. Even if a rookie excels in attack they often lag in tackling efficiency because they're not up to the pace or physicality of first grade, but Isaac has the best tackling efficiency at the club and probably one of the best in the comp. That's impressive when you think about it. And as Fleabag mentioned he makes it look easy. Never gets dominated, in particular when he's defended. A very good wrestler without even looking like he's trying. Just a functionally strong guy. He's almost as ripped as SBW and has legs like tree trunks so you probably don't have to try when you've got that much muscle mass.

I really hope that a good chunk of Kennedy's contract goes to upgrading Liu.
Someone on here mentioned that he is basically playing for match payments on a minimum contract.
Is TheBigFella here??? How big is Liu in person?

Also liking the way him and moa are passing before the line on occasion to mix it up. Keeps the opposition guessing and stops the gang tackling. Man, robbo has these boys playing well!

I can't wait for them to come up against the rabbits pack (who dominated us in round 1) again. Our pack has improved so much since round 1. Especially LOD and liu up front.

I noticed that the forwards passed the ball a lot last night; looked a lot like the Dogs were doing last year. I can't remember tipping the ball on this year as much as we did last night.

Noticed it the last few weeks. Jwh, moa and liu have all given it a go and FPN has always had it in his game. I like it.
