I think you maybe thinking of the Ali - Frazier Thrilla in Manila where Smokin Joe failed to come out of his corner
Ah, yes, I am. My error.

I think the Ali/Frazier fight is where Ali picked up his Parkinson's. He had the hell beaten out of him.

They beat the hell out of each other - vicious fight and the 14th round savage. Joe was a bitter bad sport until his passing - sad as he was a great champ

Every boxer has a weakness, and Ali's was not being able to see the left hook coming, Kenny Norton broke his jaw in the second round, but he still fought out a narrow defeat. Ali fought Frazier at the end of his career, absolute brutal contests where Frazier couldn't come out for the last round because his corner thought that the horrendous beating he had taken might result in serious damage if he went out for another 3 minutes. He fought and beat the undefeated George Foreman who had never gone past the 2nd or 3rd round when Ali's best assets, hand, leg and head speed, had left him. The young Ali was incomparable as a boxer, the only person to come near him is currently boxing, his name is Floyd Mayweather. In my opinion of course.

JWH would have been penalised 5+ times if he attempted some of the crap in the ruck Fifita got away with tonight, it was quite ridiculous his leg pulling, flopping, head grabbing etc he was getting away with.

We have one of the great props in the making. The only thing that's ever going to let JWH down is discipline. A year ago I was still worried. I think this year, besides the sending off at Brookvale, he has been much better. Impressive stats tonight.

Yeah we are really missing Kennedy's defence. The opposition teams must have stopped scoring points in sympathy for the massive hole his absence has left us with.

I spoke one on one pre season with him - I say this bit to big note and it was around the time we were to announce the captaincy - I said one day you will make a great skipper and JWH replied ooh we got Mini and just everybody respects him and listens to him besides as for being a captain and humbly added I don't get enough game time - we both laughed. special guy.
