Various media outlets keep saying this is the first time since 2002 that the club has won 5 straight games. Nonsense, of course. We won 7 straight in 2003, 6 straight in 2004 and 5 straight in 2010.

Fox Sports all night and this morning are saying this is the first time since 2002 that we've won 5 games in a row. The Sydney Morning Herald websites repeats the same nonsense on its site this morning also.Originally posted by Rooster_6 View PostWe haven't won 5 in a row?
We did earlier this year maybe I'm just misunderstanding you...
Now, the thing is, we haven't won five in a row since earlier in the year, and the second thing is, we've done it many times since 2002.
From the SMH this morning:
"The victory gave the Roosters their fifth consecutive win for the first time since 2002, the last time they tasted premiership success."
Incredible, isn't it?

Whilst there are a select few i would take the time to read the large percentage of sports journalism is and has been opinion pieces based on mostly on regurgitated themes, cut and paste with name changes, gossip and personal bias. Even when there is indisputable facts they won't let it get in the way of a good story. There are plenty of more reliable sources of info on the web to get info from these days.Originally posted by Sydney_Roosters_4_Life View PostOR its the incredible fact that we've only won 3 in a row..

Yeah, not surprising.Originally posted by Andrew Walker View PostIn this mornings paper The clowns at the telucrap have Melbourne on 25 points in 2nd place above Sydney Roosters on 26 points in 3rd place
One of the papers I flicked through this morning (think it was The Sunday Mail) had two NRL ladders in it. One near the back page still had us on 24 points & Melb on 25...fair enough considering time schedules & reastraints re printing.....BUT, in the sports section they had us on 26 points.
