might be better if he concentrated on a training sports nutrition route into the game, his playing days are now over, noone wants to sign him then risk killing him every game!
It will be a truly remarkable comeback if it happens. He's been out of the game for a good 3 years with a very serious injury.
That being said, the number one thing that dictates a person's actions and capabilities is intent. In my life I have seen some people do some highly unlikely but remarkable things against the odds.The number one rule is to never let people dictate what you can and can't do.
If he wants to play and is going through these surgery's just to get himself right, then that is an outstanding display of determination and just for that I would be hoping we give him a go. Back when he was with us he was very handy off the bench. If he can get himself into the same form as before then it could be a masterstroke.
