  • Who will replace Jennings, Pearce and maybe Maloney for Origin?

We have the Bye before the first one, facing Para away on the Friday after.

For the second one its Bullgogs away the Friday before, facing Manly at home the Monday after.

For the third we have the Bye before, facing Sharks at home on the saturday after.

So the only real chance fringe playes have will be the bulldogs game.

I thinking Oldfield will come in for Jennings.

Morts move to the half with Langi at 5/8, and Nafe comes on to the bench.

Barring injuries and backing on friday for the first game I think we should get through the Origin period alright.

I think morts and langi will be the halves if jimmy does get picked.

Oldfield is the tip but I'd try something a bit from left field...rts to centre and bring Paul rokolati on to the wing.

Boyd may also be missing, I think he'll jag a bench spot

If tautau is fit and ready yes its s no-brainer but would hate to rush him before he's ready.

            Way too valuable.

I think Jennings, Maloney, Pearce and Cordner will get picked. Although Carney could just as easily snag the 6 jumper again.

If we do and those four in and Moga is back I think they'll go.

              3. Moga
              6. Langi
              7. Mortimer
              14. Liu (in for Cordner)
              15. Seluini (for Morts)

No Moga and it should be:

              2. Oldfield
              3. RTS

Personally I'd prefer Nene MacDonald over Oldfield but I can see why TR would opt against that. But if Moga is unavailable RTS has to be a centre.

I can't see Cordner getting picked.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

With Gallen, Watmough, Bird and Lewis no chance.

There's a chance if they play Lewis as the utility,

you couldn't have morts and sel on the field at the same time. theyd be absolute liabilities.

How long is Gallen out for? If he's not 100% they may rather he play prop. On form he would be in the top 5 backrowers in NSW so I guess it comes down to how Daley wants his bench.

Gallen should be back for Game 1, he is hopeful to be playing next week, and if not definitely the week after.

I remember a couple origins ago, NSW went for a whole team of 2nd rowers (it felt like it anyway), hoping speed and agility would beat size and power...didnt work, hope they learnt their lesson then.

Even if they don't pick Gidley and pick Lewis as utility, which they should I reckon, but they won't, I still can't see Cordner getting a run Game 1. There is still Hoffman, G.Stewart and Tariq Sims who IMO NSW would pick over him if it came down to it. They also have the option to go 4 FRF's with Gallen playing lock the whole time. Woods, Fifita, Grant and Merrin all putting their hands up the last few weeks to join Tamou.

Yeah they play a similar style.Seluini is one of those players that can really come back to bite a club.He will move on from us to get a run in firsts .Hes only a kid,Super quick around the ruck if he improves his defense and ball skills and he will as hes still learning his trade he could be a very, very, good player. But you cant keep them all and robbo prefers Morts fair enough too hes a good kid.
