I must admit watching symonds through these first 7 rounds I'm thinking we should have flicked guerra.

Management have done extremely well this year with the player gains and losses. We are bound to get the odd one wrong.
Symonds is playing well, LOD looks like he is past it, Guerra is playing nowhere near his best , but every other change is a winner. Guerra can play a lot better than his current form though - hopefully he shows it later in the year.

I would agree with that fully. Forgotten man in some ways.Originally posted by Gary Worthless View PostThis is just the clint newton effect - any player can look good in a gun team. Guerra has been our best forward for the past 2 seasons and just needs to find his place in this new team.

It would have been nice to watch an Easts junior come through the grades and watch all his childhood dreams of playing for Easts becoming reality.
That's my biggest regret. I thought he would have been good for depth this year.... Robbo obviously didn't like the balance of the side though and wanted to get rid of some edge forwars a middle third player which was a smart decision even if LOD hasn't been as good as we'd like so far...

Who is that delightful looking lady in your avatar, for whom I would gladly warm a bench, just curious?Originally posted by Lemon_Goat View PostGuerra made over 100m in his second game back. he will adjust and Manly just suits Symonds style of play better. He wasnt suited to our style. I dont care how he goes, it only matters how he plays for us and he was a benchwarmer

Being an unabashed Guerra fan I feel he is doing a lot of good which is unnoticed as he's playing as a tight/middle forward.Originally posted by Gary Worthless:298239This is just the clint newton effect - any player can look good in a gun team. Over the years we've become accustomed to seeing him score tries and make line breaks etc from the fringes. Now he is in tight we aren't seeing this and therefore think he's not doing enough.
IMO if he was on Maubs' or SBW's side in place of them, he'd be smashing it as they both are.
Question is, would he have done and be doing a better job than Maubs if he were the right fringe second rower?
