Hang on I thought the rule here was if someone played for Souths they must be crap.Originally posted by Hawkeye View PostEven if Reynolds has no running game, that's what Carney is there for. NSW needs one half to be able to direct the team around and get consistant repeat sets .... The vermin No.7 appears at the moment the one more likely to be able to do that....

Anyone who says Pearce is a better half than Reynolds is totally clueless. I don't believe in conspiracies in RL but if Pearce is picked for NSW I'll have to change my mind. There has been a lot of great Rooster's halves through the years but Pearce definitely isn't one of them. I saw Pearce in a pram at the easter show and If I Knew then what I know now I would've smothered him.Originally posted by Thirteen View PostWe are Roosters supporters what do u expect?
I'm still on a crusade to get you laid. You need it soooo bad!

One of your best, Coggy.

Adam Reynolds has shown absolutely nothing besides cross field kicks to his outside backs - something that Mitchell Pearce was heavily criticised for by the press in season 2008 - and deft little grubbers, albeit brilliant ones, all within the attacking 20 metres.
His long kicking game is not better than Pearce's. He doesn't set up many, if any, tries or attacking movements from the hands and is absolutely no threat when he runs because he never does.
I find it astonishing that our own Mitchell Pearce is compared to and required to play like Andrew "Joey" Johns yet the flavour of the month in Adam Reynolds is being worshipped as a modern great.

Reynolds has a great kicking game. Until he shows more to his game then Pearce is still a better all round player. In my humble opinion.

Ha ha, if your comment is in regard to the time of my post, it's because I work 12-12 nightshift, offshore WA.Originally posted by morleythemauler View Postplease stay off the crack its not good for you
If your comment is in regard to my actual post, then you don't understand what I'm talking about, so I'll explain:
1. When a half-back (No.7) is fed the ball and he passes it off to a forward, etc, that's his passing game.
2. When a half-back (still the No.7) is fed the ball and runs at the line to draw a defenders inside shoulder, etc, that's his running game.
3. When a half-back (you get the idea now) is fed the ball and drops it onto his boot, that is a kick and we call it his kicking game.
Now next time you watch lol@souffs and the Roosters, watch the half-backs and see what I'm talking about.

Exactly right. Pearce in 2008 got us to top four. We were ranked No.1 for tries scored from kicks and that game plan failed in the finals. Panthers were exactly the same in 2010. Made top four from Walsh's boot and bombed out of finals in straight sets. Pearce has had the kicking game in the past, but someone in the last five years has coached it out of him.Originally posted by Braith Anasta's Wallet View PostAdam Reynolds has shown absolutely nothing besides cross field kicks to his outside backs - something that Mitchell Pearce was heavily criticised for by the press in season 2008 - and deft little grubbers, albeit brilliant ones, all within the attacking 20 metres.

For the first three rounds of this year, Reynolds had four try assists, all from the boot; yesterdays makes five now. He received the ball 39 times for 19 kicks!! Sutton 45 times for six kicks (he's where their running game is).
The individuals on here (not talking about you BAW) who think Adam reynolds shoulds play Origin are looking at the wrong Reynolds. Josh Reynolds is the one to partner Mitchell if Carney is unavailable. His game oozes origin.

Iam pretty sure Anasta contributed as many tries as Pearce did from kicks in 2008. Everyone says that Reynolds has a kicking game only and no running game. I don't think Pearce has much of a running game either.
I think Pearce would look a lot better behind Souths pack than ours and this is the big difference between Souths and the Roosters. They can bring George Burgess off the bench and we have Martin Kennedy....

LOL, Reynolds plays well because he plays behind the games best forward pack. Sure, put him in the NSW team and watch how bloody horrible he plays when he has no room to move because the entire NSW team gets dominated by QLD........... again.
