yes roid the style of play looked very roosters when switched on! didn't see any defencive patterns though, he may need to rely a bit of fitzy there?
i think any coach who has bled in the teams colours is a better fit as he i=understand the ethos and culture of the club, i hope he gets a copy of rogers game in the 20s yesterday, and that he has the gonads to drop a club legend forstayingg too long?

There was two double block plays a little later in the video which was good to see. Manly, and to a lesser extent Melbourne and Canberra, have been the only teams that have been able to stop the Dogs from successfully using this play. We did not use a double block play once this year. And i'm sure it was as much to do with the players available as it was the coaching of the team. This play works for the Dogs because the pivotal moment in the play revolves around the second block involving the fullback, second rower and centre. Dogs this year have Barba, Pritchard and Morris who for the specific roles that they need to play within this movement are probably the best players in the league. We simply didn't have the players in these positions to make this play work in 2012. Your fullback must have the ability to skip across his opposite with either speed or footwork. Your second rower needs to be impossible to stop one on one close to the line. And your centre needs enough speed or strength to finish. If one of these players doesn't have the required attributes the defence will shut down the movement. Our ability to be successful with set plays next year will be dependent on whether Robinson has the balls to punt mini from fullback. In RTS, SBW and Moga we have three players that all have the attributes to make plays similar to the double block play work every time. If Mini is involved as a ball player we will again not even bother trying to run such plays i would imagine.

which is why i take the attacking highlights with a grain of salt. When there are simple spreads of the ball without any great hole or line running, it only comes down to one thing which is shit defence. I mean Scott Dureau is dominating ESL ffs

If you genuinely believe our attack would've been anywhere close to where it was without Carney, then i cannot help you

Ofcourse todd carney was a big part,,,but he still had to exercute that style of attack so yes that style did work,,

And mate i dont know why ur all geed up because i never said that next yr that style will work i was just trying to prove that yes maybe it was Trent Robinsons input that got us to the GF so in that case he can work with what we got and work with our strenghts in another way with out carney,,,,

If you really want to see what Robo can do than wait till next year.
Not to mention the fact that he will be coaching a different group of players with different skills.
Yep and in a far superior comp as well. His first season will be a huge test for him.

that style of attack worked because of him... fast forward to 2011 where we had almost the exact same team, coaching and "style" of attack and yet we failed miserably. The key difference? A mentally broken Carney who wasn't firing

And mate i dont know why ur all geed up because i never said that next yr that style will work i was just trying to prove that yes maybe it was Trent Robinsons input that got us to the GF so in that case he can work with what we got and work with our strenghts in another way with out carney,,,,
You do realise that Trent Robinson was the team's defensive coach... right? I find it a little confusing that you are somehow trying to forge a link between his defensive coaching and the team's style of attack. Also, our 2010 team definitely was not known for its defence... or should i put,,,,

please note: nowhere have i stated that i am writing off Robinson at all.

Catalan Dragons 50-26 Bradford. Not a bad effort. Would have been tough getting the players up for that game after the coaching announcement. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/19469467

Was the 7 not Greenshields? Sure didnt look like Dureau...
Why so many players from outside the 17? Late team changes, I would suggest. When was the last time someone played for the chooks in 26?
