  • 2011 catalan dragons highlights video

Sorry for posting another teams highlights but Is it just me or do these highlights remind yous of the 2010 Roosters attack style,,,,,

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0c8_...e_gdata_player

Thanks Roid, some nice passing rushes there, abiet some feeble defence by the opposition, alot like ours this season. I dont know who the No.7 halfback was, but Trent can feel free to bring him back to Oz with him, he is a clever player with ball in hand, and on the toe.

    Cheers.......Burnt Rooster

It is a highlights video so we only see the good bits but what is obvious, he likes second phase, second man plays and a deep wide backline. Most of the tries on video are over 50m and originate from the ruck with quick play the balls or breaks and than spread wide to the edges, I like his style it's like catch us if you can type footy.

This video means nothing. Look at the highlights of our 2010 season compared to this season. Same coach. Shows nothing.
If you really want to see what Robo can do than wait till next year.
Not to mention the fact that he will be coaching a different group of players with different skills.

As mentioned in previous posts I don't think Robo is the right person for the job. I don't care if the players like him or not. They should perform whether or not they like the coach. They are meant to be professionals. Jason Taylor should have been appointed.

Yes HC, when Dureau was playing in the NRL for the Knights (as Ray Stehr would say) he was pure rubbish!! If Trent can have his french dragons playing so well with Dureau as halfback, he is a genius!

Noticed that there were some players in the dragons side with some real speed, maybe Trent can bring with him the pick of the bunch who is capable of playing fullback so that we can move Mini on!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                    Here's looking at you, kid.

What I liked there is the way he simply has them drawing and passing. They draw their man really well. I was surprised. Obviously it's only Super League but still, it's quite nice structure. Some great trys there. Doesn't actually remind me of Roosters 2010 though.

Set plays is what i saw. I haven't seen that in a roosters game for a while!

Agree. Actually, very Roosters 2012 without the dropped ball.

I like the depth they play with. The Roosters this year played very flay in both the forwards and backs which made us easy pickings for the opposition. You could tell who was taking the run well in advance and we didn't have options. We have some elusive players like, Guerra, SKD, RTS, SBW (?) and Maloney that will benefit from extra space and moving forward to a stretched defense with more one on one opportunities.

Super league looks very similar to mix between NSW cup and U20s.

I just hope that robbo can adapt to the pace of NRL.
                              Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"
