I'm not confident only causse we're not at full strength. We needed Spence in this one to fire the blokes up.
Dolphins might've been ordinary but Souffs shown they can hurt you if you're not 100% on.
Souffs leaked 30 against the Phins, IMO showing their defence wasn't up to much. Didn't see the game but IMO all we've gotta do is show slightly better defence than the Phins and we're a solid chance. A lot of that will come down to guys like Gus and Collins who SHOULD be like for like with Fifita / Murray. Time for Whyte to fire up and go next level crazy too!!!
Clean slate in terms of combinations. We've got quite a few out and will be changing combinations regularly for the first ~2 months.
Souffs are celebrating as if they put a cricket score on a top 8 team. Reality is they had a leaky, narrow-ish win against a side that's a little bit meh. This win's for the taking and TBH we NEED it because we've got a pretty rough draw for the first ~5 weeks.

.
it's the kind of game where our boy Foketi can stand up and show he can be our next Enforcer. I love how hard he hits and how aggressive he is in attack and defence. Without Spence and Rads and with Lindsey incapable or unwilling to play the role that an Origin and Aus mainstay prop should, we need Foketi to stand next to Nafahu and **** these Rabbits up

I love Foketi and he just doesnt seem to get enough game time and I dont know why, with him and the Concreter on we would at least provide some punch through the defensive line, I feel like at the moment it is only our backs that are capable of breaking the line (and maybe Nafahu although he more carries the line with him than breaks it).
The teams that wins the 6 agains early will have a big advantage.
When a 6 again is given, hardly anyone, including the players know what it was given for. Was it inside 10, ruck infringement, slow peel, flop, hand on the ball. Who the hell knows so how do you fix it?
Possession is key - Penalties and 6 agains will fatigue the defensive side
I also can't see the point in the disruptor rule saying you have to use both hands on the high ball
Watson should start. E Butch back to the bench imo.
I'm not feeling very confident.
I imagine at full strength, Robbo would have Whyte at lock, Spencer and Lindsay as props basically starting the game with 3 Frontrowers. With Egan (Fontrower 4) on the bench

that's my preference. I thought we played well at the end of last year like that.
IMO it's the sorta game that will reward the hard workers / toilers. Souffs are rivals but IMO they're not THE standard for 2026.
They'll go in knowing AJ's probably gonna score and that we're down a few key players so that's a big advantage to them.
That said... they leaked 30 against the Phins and are behaving like they completely dominated!!! No disrespect to the Phins but IMO we can do better than them even without Leniu, Robson and Radley.
Hope Souffs go in all cocky and behave like Trell, Graham, AJ and Grey are the Harlem Globetrotters against Teddy, Marky Mark, Toops, Smith and Toia!!! Mad achievement for AJ there but so what? TBH it'll be hilarious if he doesn't score it as it'll mean he's been given 2 golden opportunities to do it against us and failed. No pressure, son

Absolute blight on the game, too much of an advantage, especially with repeats, by the time you even up the count later in the game ( as they do, try look impartial), the advantage side is too gassed to respond. The great advantage League had over Union was the simplistic and obvious rules easily understood, now stuffed if I know what these six agains were for.

The tv, top of screen, states what the 6A was for.
If I were Roosters coach or head honcho I would have a professional outfit tape the games in a wider angle that the Fox/9 tv, showing if my team was or was not offside in 6As.
If my team were called 6A offside when they weren't, I'd be screaming with outrage to the NRL demanding change.
If I didn't get change I'd be telling the world in the media.
