Problem is that a slow start makes it much harder to get a top 4 finish.

Exactly.

Big reason why the Panthers and the stormers are consistently in the Grand Finals is because they win early and can rest players during the last few rounds. Massive advantage to any team who can freshen up players before the finals. No coincidence the only time recently the panthers missed the GF was their slow start last yr.

Whetber we won 3 comps after losing in rd 1 is not a good answer to defend having dismal rd 1 wins.
Winning builds confidence so its essential to get the win. I dont believe that Robbo's plan is to start slow with a loss & build into the season, its laughable.
The coach & the team want to win every game & its about having the right attitude, hunger & luck.
Forget about building into the season just get the job done & win.
