Hate trials. Risk of injury for zero reward. Trial form means nothing.

No ladder points, agreed. But trials matter for combinations, match fitness and giving kids a shot. That’s how spots get earned. It’s not nothing.

One assumes the players from the below 29 NRL Squad players involved in the end of season international footy may play in the second trial and not this first one. - Victor Radley won't be available for both trials.

            https://www.roosters.com.au/teams/?competition=111

No NSW Cup and or Jersey Flegg squads have been announced as yet as usual

Be Interesting if Dominic Farrugia gets a run - A signing from Parramatta's SG Ball/Jersey Flegg. - Wing/Centre

Not up to date on our depth so forgive any injuries but jeez we've done well with our depth for 2026. 13/17 from this draft team have played first grade with Ramsey, Tupou, Talau, Pauga, Savala, Makatoa and Steep all having played 20+ games of first grade. This is how depth is done.

Last year in this same game a few of the first graders took part so this team obviously becomes infinitely stronger with any addition from our starting 17. Would be good to see Nat Butcher play if available
Hopefully the team will be good enough not to get thrashed.
On the other hand I don't want all of our stars playing.

Players could get injured when during contact in training. Happy for the reggies to get a run and impress the coach

Love that to be the line up, the two Rodwells would be worth the entry.
Also Max McCathie this is the year for him to step up. Local Junior?

I hope the Tigers give Ethan Roberts plenty of game time in the trtial, I would love to see him become a regular good first grader.

Looks to be an interesting side, Ramsay not available so our third string fullback gets a run, good to see a few from our top 17 getting a run here also, on paper you'd expect us to win this one with ease, the backrow is pretty elite especially since the Tigers are fielding minimal first teamers.

Wow good side for a 2nd grade squad
I think it’s only Ramsay from the squad not available, maybe Mccathie as well
rodwell gets in front of Elliot and foley while Savala will be playing 6 behind DCE and Walker
id imagine steep would have played if not for the all stars
4 back rowers and steep all vying for 2-3 positions in the main 17 should be a good trial hit out for both butch, plus Wong and Foketi to get a spot in the 17 come round 1
shows we are lacking abit on prop depth behind lasalu
