So we have trials kicking off next week and I come onto this site expecting to see some footy related chatter and this is the first thread that has the most traction? Jesus Christ fellas.

What a lame forum.
Are you the bloke with no fingers?
Apparently the latest AI write your own novel software using voice command is quite good. I'll send you the link
Everyone in FOFF and absolutely everyone who went to Billy’s Raise Up A Rooster night.
You brought up some memories for me there BPP with your list of names and the thing that was FOFF.
And Billy's Raise Up a Rooster night was a fantastic event and getting to meet some of the people behind the names was slightly surreal.
Just a question. What year did the wall come down and the chookpen start up. Does anyone know who was on the wall and how long it was in existance
End of 2011 IIRC I first joined in 2007 but it might have started in 2006 (paid version) 2008-2010 was the peak of it
There were two Walls, there was the original unpaid forum that started circa 2002 but I can't recall if that morphed in to the members wall or if that existed side by side.
In the dying days when the wall was closing and the masses migrated to the chookpen there was the melon forums and someone else started a forum as well, no idea what happened to those two.
Names I see here regularly that I recognise from The Wall: Andrew Walker, Rooster6, Thirteen, Big Poppa Pump, The Brain, horrie hastings (I think?) Danish, Hollus. Not sure about mickie lane, Red and mightyrooster but I think they were on there too. Others have different names these days.
There was also another set off old school message boards called the wide world of sports or something similar that started in the late 90s but all that message board stuff got shut down sometime around 2002.
This is a wonderful thread Batesy. I deleted a couple of unpleasant posts that IMHO were of no significance to this thread. I'm sorry if you disagree but I'm loving this thread and all the members contributing.
The NRL immortals concept is very selective and not valid in today's times, as it started in 1981 as an original concept by Rugby League Week to acknowledge post-WW2 players — times have well and truly moved on and not saying the players who are immortals and those pre-WW2 that were later inducted don't deserve acknowledgment it's just that others do as well at this same level.
The Roosters have Luke Ricketson, Anthony Minichiello, Mitchell Aubusson and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who have played 300-plus games for the same club — none I expect will ever be immortals.
Only 55 players have played 300 games plus in the various combined leagues, NRL, NSWRL, ARL and Super League, since 1908 — none of whom are as yet immortals.
