  • Jaydn Su'A

Has a PO in 2027 - is a like for like replacement for Angus. A good hard hitter... thoughts?

Currently on $700k a year. That's overs imo.

Very good player on his day however struggles with consistency. A new coach and environment could be the ticket he needs.

Will most likely end up at Souffs.

No thanks - I believe we are well stocked with back rowers over the next few seasons

Jaydn has mongrel and sails close to the wind ala Luke O Donnell and JWH.
Every team needs one of these.

Still not sold on Wong. This season could be Foketi’s breakout year.

Lets see what Foketi, Wong, Steep or even Max McCathie can do first

Not to mention we still have Rads and the Butcher boys....

Would be a handy signing if we could get him, also his experience and toughness would help the younger boys coming through..

Only issue is he is good mates with Keon and a big reason why he signed with Saints,so I doubt he would leave..

Me too and the club is on the same page with Wong's contract expiring at the end of this season. Works hard in D however offers very little in attack!

                  It's up to him now.

Are they as effective these days with the clamp down on contact to the head?

The modern day Alpha reads poetry and is quite fussy about who cuts his hair.

It was reported by News Corp/DT, although not yet confirmed by the club, that Siua Wong had re-signed until 2028?.

Awesome Googling and great news, but I’m not sure how this relates to a thread about Jaydn Su'A.

Decent player but very hit and miss on form
I think Wong will have a huge year plus Foketi and steep and rhe butcher boys we are not short on options
I would have gone hard at Keon if we wanted to replace Angus but I doubt the club will pay huge money for an edge atm

I like the way he plays but I dont think he's on the Chooks radar. I think the Chooks believe that Steep is going to be like Cordner bringing that courageous, brave playing style putting his body on the line for the Roosters once Gus leaves.
Wong is also very good even though some aren't convinced but he's got his style & on his day he can be damaging with the ball & get involved in the defence, he's still young.
Fokiti has shown he's good as well whether he plays in the middle or on the edge is still being decided.

But IMO the Butcher brothers are going to be in the 17 & I would say Nat Butcher will replace Gus if fit & if he's not Egan Butcher will be the next cab off the rank.
E Butcher could be now coming into his best football, he's a big boy & is hardened to NRL football, if the cards fall his way & he gets to make the backrow position his by being aggressive & playing hard arse consistent football then who knows.

Toby Rudolf from the Sharks is off contract at the end of this season and is looking for a new club.

Good depth player if he's cheap enough imo.
