The Roosters in 2026 will have the best spine, a top 3 backline and for mine a top 4 forward pack. Also might have the best bench in the comp and our depth is probably top 4 now as well.

Hey, let's cool it down, boys.

Love the hype, and adding DCE and Reece Robson definitely makes us a problem this year. But it’s only February. Even with Melbourne down a few stars like Katoa, counting out the Panthers or the Broncos before a ball is even kicked is a massive reach.

    Starts all tomorrow.

What's important to me if we make the finals and are eliminated is that we go down fighting and it's a close competitive game.

Shits me no end the way we were pumped by the Sharks last season and the Storm in the 2024 preliminary final especially when Robbo tells us "we're ready to play"

That 2024 prelim game was ATROCIOUS. Keary and Angus were HORRIFIC. Pathetic coaching as well, couldn't motivate the squad to hold their gloves up for 80. HOPELESS.

I expect " Mr Roosters footy " to have us in the GF this year. He purchased pops for this reason.

        A big year for us.

Mate I launched the remote and it disintegrated. I had to buy a new universal one.

Most online advertisements are personalized, tailored to the individual user based on data tracking, browsing history, and demographic factors.

"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

Had a quick squiz in my backyard Jimmy and couldn’t find the answers to repeated pop up ads that depending on the browser are unable to get past to view the content. Oh well, not missing much.

And you know what?? Your tone sounds like the poster you despise the most, King Salvo -

I’m getting video ads for Now Finance with that South African Kiwi comedian that once it’s played has no x to get rid of the ad and look at the thread. When I change browser it notifies me that it blocks pop up ads. Not sure how long this has been going on but I’ve only just noticed it yesterday.

                    • The heat is on the bench. It’s a great motivator. 24 games and likely DCE and Walker will interchange during the season with positional changes during a match due to an extended bench.

                      • Noting the DT report of the state of the game (NRL) - 2025

                        Revenue - 800 odd million
                        Players Payments - 596 million
                        Surplus - 65 million

Saying a Broadcast deal is within 6 months

Mention of 2 million a year players ( Cleary/Walsh for an example) and bonuses (not sure what that is)

Talk of a 3 billion up to 5 billion Broadcast deal

Clubs receive 17 to 18 million now - players salary cap( around 11.8 mill including allowances) / football department( 5 million cap) plus other expenses.

3 Billion I assume would be 5 years - possible players salary cap of 18 million plus
Up to 5 Billion would be 7 years one assumes- possible player salary cap of over 20 million - 22 or so

Players have rachet clauses in their contracts for when and if the cap increases - not sure if every player does?

So if the cap as an example increases by 50% a player on 1 million a season could then be on 1.5 million a season

Ka-Ching Wins and players will certainly cash in - mmm pay tv subs will go up though as will memberships and ticket prices plus merchandise - NRL Want to reach 1 billion plus in Revenue

Clubs will be all cashed up if ratchet clauses don't eat up the player salary cap increases

One hopes with such a broadcast deal the NRLW players will be close to if not full time professional from 2028.
