  • Latrell Mitchell a Rooster again in 2028 ???

Seems like Robbo was the only one that could maximise Latrell's freakish ability. Bennett is failing dismally and will now finally move him to centre. lols@skeletor

He hasn't looked happy since he left the Roosters! There's now a rather large chip on his shoulders. He may need to pay land tax if it continues to grow.

Would you welcome him back and could he potentially be a suitable replacement for Teddy when he retires? Maybe....Dunno

I'd welcome him back. Let's kiss, make up and win a premiership together again. I'd play him in the centres if he returns. I watched most of his Holden Cup games and thought he was going to be the next Mal Meninga. He went close then farked up by moving to Souffs.

He can still become a legend of the game however he will need Robbo's help imo.

    Thoughts.

no chance of happening would be my guess. not sure i'd want him as a fb but would love him as a centre - maybe billy to wing.
but all up, we're more likely to re-sign mark harris

A definite no from me. I agree with you in the sense he seemed much happier when he was a Rooster. I still have fond memories of him especially in the '18 and '19 Grand Finals when I think he was at his peak.

However, I don't like the fact he bad mouthed the club when he left - it just wasn't necessary.

Still a champion player on his day, but I think his best days are behind him. I'd prefer Easts to invest in youth (Rex Bassingthwaite for one), and who knows who may come through the lower grades.

As good as Mitchell is/has been, his best days were many years back when he (and Manu) was one of the best centres in the world.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

At centre, in a heartbeat...not fullback... just doesnt have the motor and will keep getting soft tissue injuries.
He put himself under a lot of pressure at Souths and I get why he wanted to play fullback, it is a more fun posiiton to play than centre...I dont thinkt he money or ego was the main factor, I genuinely think eh wants to have fun palying rather than just collecting a pay cheque. (Well Im sure there is both, but the desire to be in the game is there)

            Why not?

If DCE, SBW and Cronk can play for the Roosters then anything is possible, Right?

No big deal with the way we severed ties. Water under the bridge! Nick's most likely already over it and remember we play for premierships. Nick loves to win!

Mitchell should still be one of the games best strike centres so who wouldn't be interested. Robbo would have him back in a heartbeat imo.

                Certainly
it was a messy and bad break up divorce when he left for both sides
he isn’t a fullback but I Bellieve still the best centre in the game
I’d take him back at left centre
only issue would be his ego and turning other players off him

When Latrell signed with Souths I posted on here that the Roosters will not win another comp while he is playing for another team & that Latrell would not win a comp while ever he plays for another team.

Would I like him back at the Chooks?

Would be 31 by then, and injuries have already limited the games he has played since leaving us, don’t know how much longer his body will be able to take it.

No from me. He’s not a fullback and he’s too expensive to be a centre. I’m sure better opportunities will present themselves by 2028.

Toia has a better work ethic too. Latrell is just not fit.

Will never happen but the thought of Latrell winning B2B titles at the Roosters, followed by 8 barren years at Souffs, then returning to the Roosters to win another title is quite arousing.
