Premiership windows aren't just about how you position yourself as a club, and luck with injuries, but also the quality of the opposition. And conciding with a down period post B2B was the domination of a once in a 50 year juggernaut that were way out of our class who also didn't have one season defining injury in half a decade which will never be seen again.

So I actually think our "window" (I hate that term) has just re-opened in 2026 and unlike the unknowledgable author will remain open for a while.

We have a perfectly balanced team right now with awesome depth. And once DCE and Teddy hang up the boots the younger guys will be even more ready to lead from the front.

Our forward pack for the remainder of this decade will be the most formidable in the competition and that sets a platform for Sammy and Toby (who has a huge future) to consistently lead the Roosters to big finals game.

You also just know a big name fullback will be lined up to replace Teddy. Or maybe it'll be Marky Mark or Jorgensen.

The cherry on top will be ceasing the comical bone headed mistakes every single game.
21 we had the best squad in the competition but injuries crueled us

we have certainly recruited smarter this year and do have a very rounded squad with great depth and got rid of some dead wood

injuries are luck but we certainly can make it easier on ourselves we with the errors and penalaties reduced
plus being patient with the ball

our pack is good, potentially 1 bigger body in the bench we may be short but time will tell!

like 18/19 don’t expect us to come out firing but a big 2nd half of the year at timing our form peaking in finals is the key
and need to make the top 4 to get a week off in finals

            Anything is possible.
To have any hope of winning the comp this season we must stop making all the mistakes we do.
We must win games from the start of the season, be in the top 4 all year, and be ready to fire in the finals.

We have an elite squad. Coaching and tactics an integral part of winning games during a ridiculous long season.
Robbo has a pattern and within it there is negative condition. The home stretch run not as significant as previously.
Season before last we scored the highest amount of points yet struggled scoring in a break out season for the young players including Billy Smith.
Holbrook now gone whilst Robbo has his usual suspects including JWH and Mick Cheika so it’s a wait and see. I seriously doubt our completions and being penalised will change.

Robbo always has a good team so if we have luck with injuries & form the window is always open.

one thing that hasn't been mentioned is the hole Justin Holbrook leaves in our coaching staff.

reading reports it looks as if a combination of Luke Keary and Michael Cheika replace him. I've heard nothing but incredible things about Cheika and Keary was a smart footballer but Holbrook made a HUGE difference to our attack the past two years. I mean...we all remember how truly awful our attack was in 2023 with Manu at 6 and all the other nonsense we had going on. Holbrook fixed all that from 2024 onwards

Maybe DCE can help as well and maybe the system and coaching from Holbrook is clear enough to remain after he's gone, but our attack has been super super exciting the past two years and Holbrook was a fundamental part of that

outside of that, I think health is the key thing. We have depth in the forwards...particularly in second and back rowers, but we are lean still in the outside backs. If we stay healthy and if Daly and Sam can gel well, I reckon we're a top 4 side. And then after then...who knows?
