You close windows because of the weather so not sure why this has anything to do with a teams chances to win a comp.

Injuries play their part as well as does the ability of the opposition on any given day.

Because Penrith didn't make the GF is their window closed now and they need to so called rebuild? - Be a fool to think so

No guarantee Brisbane will have a similar season as they did in 2025 in 2026.

Sometimes teams that win comps don't back it up the next season

David Sutherland (alias King Salvo, Michael Jones, Atlanta1), seriously -get a life!
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

There is no closing of any windows. We are a smart club. We have plans for 2027. Angus is leaving. Do you not think we have a replacement lined up?

This money could be used to keep Wong and Foketi

One team can win the competition every season. I agree completely that we have plans on top of plans to ensure we are competitive. It has been a few years since we have been really a top contender.

If anything, our window is opening this season after a little rebuild in 2025. I think we would all like to believe that after DCE leaves Walker will be ready to run the team completely.

And Rodwell will be ready for NRL footy.

Could have posed this question when Sam was out for the first half of last year and we signed a poorly performing Chad T. Recruitment is improving though after some lean years of botched signings and attempted signings.

I think 2026 is the start of a bit of a golden age for us and don't agree with the article saying it's 2026 or bust. Walker hopefully will have that year where he cracks rep footy and shows how great he really is leading into him being a superstar in 2027. Nawaqanitawase, Tupou and Crichton gone at end of 2026 will be a shame but players will be ready to step up.

I think the golden age for the Roosters I predict to come will slow down a bit when Tedesco retires but the way he's playing right now he very well could play into his mid thirties.

Cody Ramsey could turn out to be a very handy buy.

Yeah...... Depth is key across the park if we're a chance of winning the comp.

Ramsey has loads of potential imo. Loads of spark!

                          > Outs: Brandon Smith (Rabbitohs)

I like to think we played the long game on that one. Sign him for $$$, use him sparingly, wait till he fugz up then launch him at Souffs.

All as smoke and mirrors so the Cows don't think we're in the market for Reece Robson.

Let's be realistic, our "window" has not been open since 2020. And even that season was destroyed by injury rather like the 4 or so following it.

Premiership windows aren't just about how you position yourself as a club, and luck with injuries, but also the quality of the opposition. And conciding with a down period post B2B was the domination of a once in a 50 year juggernaut that were way out of our class who also didn't have one season defining injury in half a decade which will never be seen again.

So I actually think our "window" (I hate that term) has just re-opened in 2026 and unlike the unknowledgable author will remain open for a while.

We have a perfectly balanced team right now with awesome depth. And once DCE and Teddy hang up the boots the younger guys will be even more ready to lead from the front.

Our forward pack for the remainder of this decade will be the most formidable in the competition and that sets a platform for Sammy and Toby (who has a huge future) to consistently lead the Roosters to big finals game.

You also just know a big name fullback will be lined up to replace Teddy. Or maybe it'll be Marky Mark or Jorgensen.

The cherry on top will be ceasing the comical bone headed mistakes every single game.

                                100% mate,

You can feel it right and it's so farking exciting!

It's all there including a coach who's won 3 comps and some rather clever recruitment which could hopefully fix last seasons deficiencies.
