    Happy New Year Everyone

Not sure how the Roosters will go as the forwards look okay numbers and experience wise but the backs are where they are a bit light on - Hugo Savala and Toby Rodwell as halves cover - but only Fetalaiga Pauga , Cody Ramsay , Tommy Talau and Junior Paulo as outside backs cover so need a good run injury wise.

Does anyone know when the Roosters will officially list their squads for 2026?

      I expect a GF appearance in 2026.

My mate Robbo, has an outstanding roster. He has everything he wants/needs.

In his eyes, not mine - he has his next Cooper Cronk.

Looking forward to watching: Toia, Wong, Foketi, Robson and Whyte.

      Can't wait for kick off.

        Wooden Spoon - Knights.

Will Teddy play SOO? - No chance.

        1st Coach sacked - Seibold.

Jack Gibson Medal - Teddy no doubt.

Breakout season - Wong. It’s now or never.

        Great thread Bates. Thank you.
        You're welcome mate.

You could be right about Seibold as I'm surprised he's still there.

He'd have to be the king of excuses!

Do you think the new rule changes suit our style of play?

The rule where by the team that has conceded a try get's to decide who kicks off has my head spinning. It's an interesting one! It could help manage that unstoppable momentum teams are getting in the 6 again era....I like it.

Thankfully he's not on Cronk money which has enabled us to keep Savala.

$500k a year for DCE if he delivers could be the signing of the century.

Brisbane to miss the eight. Their players are collectively too immature to back up.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Brisbane miss the 8
they could win it but also miss the 8
will be tougher being the ones chased by everyone
also expect raiders and maybe dogs may miss the 8

You could be right. Who do you think he’ll be partnering? Walker, Savala or DCE?

too far out to predict with any certainty what will happen. the nrl ladder currently has us 16th and we'll improve on that. we're a good chance to make the top 4, after that who knows?

we've got a very good squad and if we're fully fit there will be a lot of players with first grade talent playing in nsw cup.

you'd figure storm will be competitive but won't win it. broncs should be favourites but only if walsh fires like he did at the end of the season. panthers will be there or thereabouts. in an unpopular opinion i wouldn't be surprised if the team that shall not be named are competitive. if latrell's fit they'll give it a shake

They farked up in 2018 & 19 & I just dont know why they let us win the comp those 2 years.
Because we all know that the NRL, refs, touch judges & bunker have a meeting in late January to discuss making sure the Rooster dont win the comp & who is going to win the comp. The WWE write the script for the NRL.
You're slowly learning. Good to see
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Is that rule change for real? I guess NRL marketing has to hit their kpi's every year.

I think the weather would be the key factor in giving back a team the ball who have just scored.

Otherwise the conceding team will receive it everytime, just to mount possession and reduce the amount of tackles they do each game.

Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Apparently from a business and TV viewer perspective the game has never been healthier so they keep tweaking the rules. Some call it V'landys Ball.

If you've just conceded 6 points and you're still up by 2 points with five or so minutes remaining you may opt to kick off and play down the other end.

I predict another frustrating year of stupidity from the bunker and the game managers.

I think by 2027 Rodwell will be ahead of Hugo and will partner Walker in the halves. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if DCE plays on again after an excellent season which I expect this year.

The only thing I can predict with confidence is that we will once again win only 3 or 4 penalty counts all season.

Very difficult to pick who will play Brisbane in the G F .
Brisbane could usher in a dynasty as per what the Panthers achieved.
Roosters realistically, with completed sets.......2,3 or 4.
