Didn’t understand what was required in certain situations, seems to lack confidence sometimes.

I really hated his pre conceived thoughts on a play rather than watching what the opposition was doing.
How many intercepts did he throw?

But, if he learns to play what’s in-front of him, sure there is an upside.
Exactly as an nrl half you need to watch the defence and read the play coming and play what’s in front of you
sandon failed to read the defence
and also looked lost and spooked trying to pick who to pass to getting knocked off with intercepts or choosing the wrong man short or long when it was on! Either that or not passing when there was something on outside
    that’s basically a halves game

Took Smith less than 5 minutes into his Knights career to have a pass intercepted while deep on the attack some things never change.

I suspect sandon may fall into that unfortunate category of way to good for reserve grade but not quite good enough for firsts , it must be horrid,

I always remember my dad telling a story , he is from manchester, he had a friend i believe in english third divison , he would score 30 goals a season , next season he would move up to 2nds , and just couldnt cut it , back to 3rds score another 30 goals, and the. Cycle would repeat, must be a horrible place to be

Those that thought we made a bad decision letting Sandon go
              haha
hell the bloke cannot figure out where to pass the ball he freaks out every time not knowing if to go short or long
he won’t make it as an nrl player, only a depth option
              move on

mmm many on here have said Sam Walker isn't the answer either after the finals loss to the Sharks.

Interesting comments to say the least.

Ethan Strange rings a bell as both Ethan and Sandon are from the best nursery the Roosters have ever had and they need to make it permanent as the talent from that area is first class - Central Coast

It was a trial game - So if the Roosters lose to the Tigers next week will that be season done - not at all

I didn't watch the game so could be talking out of turn here but shouldn't it being a trial match mean Sandon as an experienced first grader dominates the game even more? Using your example of Sam Walker I'm sure he'd absolutely decimate the Dragons depth team.

Again didn't watch the game but looking at the stats it seems nothing has really changed for Sandon now that he's with the Knights. He ran well which he always did here but threw an intercept, gave away a penalty and made 3 handling errors. I stick by what I said last year that being that Sandon is at best a Super League half or an NRL depth option but nothing more, nothing wrong with that but that's his ceiling in my opinion.

                    Just a heads up.

Sally likes to put smelly baits out which generally only entice rookies these days.

His bait selection and presentation is C grade!
