A few days ago, Easts were $61 to win the premiership. After last night, they've firmed to $41.

If they lose tomorrow (fingers crossed), their odds should blow out surely?Originally posted by Noosa Rooster View PostWhat about Penrith's odds. When was the last time that the team running last after 9 rounds was shorter odds than 11 other teams above them on the ladder?1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

It's an unusual season with no clear stand out team so anything can happen.
I'm really starting to enjoy this season that I've labelled a developing year. The overall improvement of the team over the past 2 rounds is impressive to say the least. The growth in a number of players in such a short period of time is something Robbo should be proud of.
Add Sammy Walker and The Cheese and things could get interesting if we make the finals.

I think Broncos will be competing for top 4, Panthers will be competing for top 8 with us.Originally posted by Noosa Rooster View Post
I'm torn about tomorrow. I dislike the Broncos so much I can't bring myself to hope they win, besides I think a Penrith win is a better result for us.
Think it’s in our best interest in the long run if Brisbane win although I would love to see all 5 Queensland sides lose on Magic Round week at Suncorp. We’re 3/5 currently with the Titans & Broncos to go..

I reckon Maguire will need 3 to 4 seasons of tweaking and losing his shit to make them a real premiership threat.
Currently they're mentally fragile so when things don't go their way they go from bad to worse. Loads of talent but no synergy.

I think Melbourne are the ones to beat this season. If their spine stay healthy I can't see anyone beating them.Originally posted by Bates View PostIt's an unusual season with no clear stand out team so anything can happen.

5 QLD teams? I'm guessing you mean Melbourne are the 5th?Originally posted by Rooster_6 View Post

Any team on any given day any team can beat their opponent. Upsets are the order of the season. If we made the grand final we could also win it. The demise of Penrith has been great for the openness of the competition. Trent has got us purring and growing nicely.

How can a team that flogs us round 1 and then gets flogged by us just weeks later be a real premiership threat?Originally posted by Mickie Lane View Post

We're a developing team full of rookies and we pumped them at their home ground. They look good on paper however that's about it! Hunt/Reynolds vs Smith/ Savala and our young lads schooled them lol.
They're far from ready to win a comp imo.
