Not quite sure about that, two years away to turn the club around, one can imagine the money that will be on offer for Sam.

Yep he was struggling to give any answers that made sense. But no need to put added pressure on yourself last week, saying, we will play finals footy, the media are just chomping at the bit to throw it back at him.

if knights win today, that definitely puts the broncos out of any mathematical contention to play finals football.

          Some even guaranteed it.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

After Round 1 their failure is so sweet.

I thought they were specials, Penrith weakened whilst they didn't. A little unlucky with injuries but I can't take any team seriously that loses to the Titans twice in a season, the second time by like 40 points or whatever it was - that is purely a side that in mentally not there. Kevvie is forunate there really isn't much noise about a replacement coach cause for me it doesn't look like a team that really listens to him, they either decide as a playing group to turn up or they don't........Kevvie is just there.

For sure. I’ve never hated Brisbane more than this year after Round 1.

They lost 3 top notch players
                    Capewell
                    Farnworth
                    Flegler

Lets see how we go next year without JWH, Keary, Sitilli, Suaalii & Manu plus injuries

They will go alright as the Roosters are developing players - Brisbane lack depth as so much money is tied up with their top 17 of their squad - Haas 1,2 mill / Carrigan 800k / Staggs 800k / Cobbo 700k / Walsh 1.1 mill/Reynolds 800 k - 5.4 mil approximately on 6 players - NRL Cap 2025 11.4 mill - so Broncos have 6 mill for the other 24 players - Mam's on 450k

So how are they fitting Sammy Walker in at 1.2mil?

They will offload a couple of players if they have too, they desperately need a halfback and Walker might just want to go home unfortunately.

                            Reynolds - 800k
                            Staggs -800k
                            Cobbo - 700 k

One figures at the end of 2025 Reynolds won't be resigned (800k) and Cobbo ( 700 k) will be a priority over Staggs ( 800 k) who both come off contract in 2025- possibly freeing up 1.6 mill for Walker - not saying Walker will be offered 1.6 mill but 1 mill or so would be available to sign Walker

Well if Sammy is going to them,we get Haas & staggs in return. Fair.

To lose Walker, along with all the others leaving, and not signing anyone in return, shows something has gone very wrong in politis&robbos rooster kingdom.

They will have Reynolds retiring so that frees up 800k, so they only need to find another 400k, quite easily done.
