Not taking away from Slater's achievements but it's why I get tired of awards for 'the best ever' (e.g. immortals). They're going to people who are already heavily decorated and there's often 'more to this story' with them.

Billy Slater... most successful/decorated/clinical. Yes.

Mini... most iconic FB of his era who revolutionised injury management, captained his club and disrupted a heap of dominant, seemingly invincible teams? Yes.
