  • Sin Bin stats

They're very hard to find, but I did find this article from 12 months ago:

    https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/42-...20-p5d22m.html

    Extract:

Conversely, much has been made of the Roosters discipline this season, and with good reason. The 32 points they’ve conceded from six sin bins in 2023 (equal most alongside the Dolphins) amounts to a quarter of all points they’ve conceded this year.

Sin bins for Victor Radley against Melbourne, and Nat Butcher and Brandon Smith when the game was in the balance against Cronulla, have proven pivotal in back-to-back losses.

The Roosters’ 26 sin bins since the start of 2021 are the most of any side, but the Bulldogs (7.44 points per sin binning) count the cost of their indiscretions the most. The Dolphins, Broncos, Tigers, Titans, Dragons, Cowboys and Eels all concede more points on average whenever they lose a man as well.

It would seem to me that the coach/team is not learning in 2024.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

The Roosters have had 2 sin bins this year, it ranks them 12th in the leaguue for most sin bins.

The most is the Rabbitohs & Tigers on 6 and the least is the Warriors, the only club not to have a player sin binned.

        Found some other interesting stats...

This season, Easts are the most penalised team in the comp and are 5th for receiving penalties. Does one cancel out the other? Not really, they've received 56 penalties but have conceded 73. The No.2 team for conceding penalties is Penrith with 64.

I think we're in trouble next week against Canberra as they've only conceded 46 penalties so far this season.

Easts remain No.1 in attack (most tries, most line breaks, most tackle busts, most offloads, most dummy half runs, and most try assists).

Sadly, they are No. 9 in defence.

Apparently they're the only club to have a player sent off this year.

11th when you consider Brisbane, Cronulla, Dolphins, Titans and Dragons are =12th with only 1 sin bin each so far this year.

Sorry, yes you are right 11th.

Although keeping in mind we did get an apology for the Victor Radley one which they got wrong.

                Hah!

Since when has an apology meant anything to the NRL?

Maybe next time he gets pinged he should be allowed to stay on the field.

Raiders go for quick play the balls, and sticky has already complained once this year that teams try to hold the raiders down to slow them up.

Never easy down here, weather should be as good as it gets at 3pm.
