Who knows What I do know is I see this sort of thing happen in a tackle almost every match every week and it goes unchecked If Mortimer was tackled 2 mtres out nothing would have happened Had Manly scored like that nothing would have been checked
I dont know why I bother following this game
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.
Did the referee instruct the Video ref to look at the Takarangi collision for signs of an elbow?
Or did he just say "see if you can find something wrong with this"?
The video referee system has been a failure from the outset. It slows the game, giving unfit players (and unfit referees) a breather, and does not in my opinion lead to more correct rulings. Even the close calls on the borders of the ingoal, 9 times out of 10 if it looks like the ball has been grounded for a try to the naked eye, it is.
Today was the perfect example of this system going completely against any spirit of the game.
Tries that look like tries are tries. Make the call at the time of the play.
Imagine in baseball if every pitch went to a replay to see if it "really" was a strike or a ball.
Get rid of the second ref too.
It will never happen, but the game would be much better without multiple referees involved. One referee and 2 touch judges are more than enough to ruin a game.
dont foorget the video ref was a big super league initiative, news demanded it be installed at wars end, it gives the controlling officials the final say in the game outcome!
I wonder how sea egull supporters would have felt if a try of theirs was disallowed in the same manner?
There are those here who see no bias against the Roosters by the officials and I wonder if they maintain their position after another loss in the game, the penalty count and a controversial call against the Roosters.
That was a try every day of the week.Mabye the conspiracy theory posters here are right. There seems to be a lot of bad calls going against the roosters in the last few rounds.
