  • David Fifita

Apparently has a get out clause in his contract he can activate before round 10.

Purely talking ability here can we get him Cap space? Say for a season or 2 ala SBW gun for hire this man can give us the edge in attack.

The man is a beast running off Kez/Smith imagine the space he could provide for Teddy out the back or running that Cords line or just purely busting through the line offloading.

I don’t believe any of our backrowers combined provide that much danger and space what does everyone think can it be done? Yay Nay? Reasons? Price?

Very good player on his day in a perpetually shit team. Could do with a new lease of life to save his career. Yes from me.

Holbrook may be the key if Uncle Nick wants him Bondi bound.

Can he play centre or kick long?
Too expensive. We have ample backrowers. Not as good as he once was.
I think he will stay anyway.

No thanks, if I had to choose a backrower out of the Titans v Dolphins Id rather Felise Kaufusi.
I think Wong will be a top backrower when he gets a bit more experience.
People on here bag out Sitilli who is a top class backrower for missing 1 tackle but without knowing I bet Fifita missed more.

I would love to have him at the club, we haven’t had a regular left edge back rower since Cordner.

With Manu/Crichton/Suaalii money I think it would be a good purchase for the right price… around 800k.

You can only try and hope they work out with talented drop outs like Fifita. I do like Angus playing on the left edge though. I reckon he'll play rep footy again this year.

                1. No cap space.

                2. No appetite to play for us.

                3. He's yesterday's unstoppable dude anyway?

Did we not see on Friday night we DON’T just need “ superstars “ but a way of playing that will beat the top teams. David Fifta is not a effort on effort on effort player that will help us beat an 80 min team, he is a highlight reel player

We are like the current Chelsea FC team , all the money and hype but in reality a middling team

David Fifita is the next Jason Taumalolo, who was the next Dave Taylor.

The fafitanator still runs around like he's playing under 10s. Too easily distracted

No…Too much money..what we need and have needed for the last 5 years is a very good organising half with a long kicking game…Someone like a Mitchell Moses without the insane price…Hate the way he plays for penalties but he’s a lot better than what we have.

We have enough “effort” players in our team.. The ones who make 60 plus tackles or play to their maximum potential

but tough ain’t enough.. We need the likes of Fifita to be an attacking POD and defensive deterrent.

If we are to run small halves, then we need big backrowers.
                              that is the balance

Fifita won’t have to be a donkey in our team, we have a great front row rotation ( when not injured or suspended ) and big wingers who take the burden.

Before you cry the names, I’ll do it for you ..

Toupneua: Is too light ( strong ) to effective against the better sides. Very predictable and failing at sliding defence, putting pressure on our minion halves

Nat Butcher: Our Ricketson, our donkey .. Tops the tackle count and offers very little in defence. Needed yes, but not enough to dominate a ruck in attack or defence

Wong: Not ready. Too light and ineffective in attack and holding defence. I see him as the replacement for Radley in time

Angus: Was once the Prototype backrower, sadly has lost his way in either being an edge attacking playing or bash and barge pig. I’d love to see the Angus of old ( when he came from Souths ) but we won’t be with us next year .. alas

                              E butcher … no

Whyte : I like him, but I feel like he is being groomed into front row .. I doubt he is quick enough nor fit enough for edge ir but exciting

Fifita could be anything, and considering Holbrook’s connection … let it be so
