  • No Panic stations

We always get disappointed after a loss, but things aren't too bad.

Despite playing well below our best, we still scored 3 tries each today. Kicking the difference. If we had anywhere near clicked, we win the game.

Some players were strangely quiet. Despite Robbos comments at the presser, I would be surprised if there wasn't an injury or two being managed.

We still have the same quality roster and depth as before the game, so best just to take the medicine and move forward. No need for panic.

Last year we would have conceded more. Our defence was a shining light in an otherwise disappointing game.
    EASTS TO WIN!

I agree Jack - some players were really quite and appeared not to be going at full capacity.

      Bring on the wabbits.

We just didn't get off the bus today. A sea plane into Pittwater may've been a better option.

Good post Jacks. I just think Manly out-enthused us today. Plus DCE had great control while our halves weren’t great.

Feel the same. Just a loss, always a tough trip to Brookvale and Manly go pretty good nowadays. Without a couple of Nat Butcher tackles we probably lose 13+. Couldn't get a 50/50 call if our life depended on it. What about the set restart on the 5th tackle 1m out from our line when Sitili gets pinched fr a crusher whilst tackling their winger backing towards the line?? Disgusting. Get Whyte on for longer.

Manly ran harder and they tackled harder. Due to this we were on the back foot all game. In spite of this it was three tries a piece. But let’s not kid ourselves the score flattered us today

                Yep, that’s right 14.

                    It's round 2 ffs.

Go and buy a cheap grand final ticket off a Dragons supporter.

We were definitely flat. If you take away the 6 points for Manlys first try that wasn't there's only a point in it. Having said that we didn't deserve to win.....incomplete sets, cheap penalties, set restarts on the 4th and 5th tackles.....same old bullshit. I dont mind losing but i hate giving away wins

Correct from the first 5 min you could tell it was going to be one of those days, we were lethargic
19 errors and 40% posession we did well to be a chance to win the game with 8 min left
forwards we’re soft, and halves had no clue
Keary was best on ground for manly
i thjnk what’s hard for everyone we have an amazing roster and expect to do well each week and players paid well - to just make the schoolboy errors they do.
manly didn’t win we just lost it ourselves
let’s hope a compete turn around for jwh 300th v Souths next week

Glad you mentioned Whyte. That surge up the guts was one of few highlights in the game for us. He is progressing nicely. I guess all our tries had some quality about them esp Teddys. A Papschmere copy.

Manly got the rub of the green by the officials far too much today. With the amount of ball they had and the dominant field position they enjoyed, they should have won the game by at least 20. They shouldn’t be too excited by the score.

I was going to say Guildford but apparently it's a term from the Navy.
