Taripo and Rokolati. You're kidding right. Neither of these players will ever come anywhere near first grade.

I was at the game on sat night with a few roosters fans following the team everywhere anywhere, and yeah, both teams lost but the futures of the Rooster is looking really good from here on, apart from little mistakes here and there coz both games. I truly think, next year will be very interesting.
I would say top 4 all the way, about Arona in and BJ out, that is not a good thinking.
I think BJ offer way more than Arona.

Rokolati is a good player. Yes he doesn't have the size of moga, but he is extremely difficult to chase down and has scored plenty in the nyc. Taripo I haven't seen much of.

Masoe in, Symonds out, and maybe Arona in Leilua out, and you got a deal.
Symonds gud but he rotting in Newtown and hes losing us money as we pay him well for playing in Newtown whereas Eels offered him 125k contract to rejuvanate their forwards. Selling him to Eels would give us cap space to resign Tago, Napa etc.
I wish we sold BJ towards buying Jacob Miller

Henare Wells is a bit of a myth as far as I'm concerned. Watched a fair bit of him in under 20's last year and never really impressed. Now he is out injured for a long period. You would be drawing a long bow if you think he will be in the first grade team in 2013.

The boy can play. Maybe a year away from top grade. Strong potential.

I agree, I can't see any first grade football for him, looks like a touch footy player.. Same for Rona, Taripo and most of the U20's.. They may look alright at that level but there is a huge gap between NYC and First Grade and there are plenty of better players in the U20's at other clubs. Or junior kids are so over rated here it is not funny.

Agree Cockadoodledo. To have a fair shot at becoming a first grade footballer you really need to dominate at under 20's level and even then it is far from guaranteed. Like I have said before I think there are three players who can potentially play first grade from our under 20's, RTS, Evans and Napa and it wouldn't surprise me if only one of those three developed into long term first graders. Hopefully all three do. To say guys like Rokolati and Rona are likely first grade prospects is just crazy.

Peter O'Sullivan makes a point of only spending decent cash on around three or four under 20's players. They are the players the club hope will one day progress to first grade, the rest of the team are basically there to make up the numbers and are paid close to nothing. He see's no point paying guys money when they have no furture in first grade. It's easier just to pick the eyes out of the other under 20's teams with likely players, as we have in the past for example JWH, Tasi, BJ, Henry, Toupu etc etc.

Jacob Miller would probably be free. He has played about 4 NRL games when the Tigers were desperate and he was rubbish.

Sheens even prefers Lawrence in the halves before Miller..

Did you know the Tigers have signed Anasta to play in the halves before Miller - Enough said...

The eels offer for Symonds was when people thought he may be a first-grader. That time has passed and there is no way they would pay reasonable coin for him now..

I think that says more about their poor judgement of talent PTB.

Jacob miller is a very good player. He's just undercooked for the demands of firstgrade. It's like throwing in a 14 year old darren lockeyer and saying that he's shit. Miller is still young and I've seen him play a few games for the tigers where tbh he hasn't done that much wrong.

If FPN, Masoe or Symonds went there they'd get player of the year!
Last year Eels player of the year went to Reni Maitua
lol@Eels a disgrace to the NRL
I bet that Wigan,St Helens and Leeds would put 18 on em if they versed Bradford the Bulls' would lose by 12
