  • Mitchell Aubusson.

Both Off-contract at the end of 2013..
With these latest re-signings, are we at risk of losing one of these players? I'd personally have them both over Arona/Guerra but does Smith see it that way too do you think?
FPN and Bosden are both off-contract end of next year too, surely we won't re-sign all 4!

EDIT - meant to say Aubusson AND Cordner.

You have "Mitchell Aubasson" as the title yet your first words are "Both off-contract... ..."

      Who's the 2nd player?

Even without SBW can we afford Guerra/Arona/Cordner/FPN/Aubusson and eve Bosden all on new contracts?
Pearce will probably be a major re-signing target next season too.

no chance. maubs is our future captain (he was made captain in anasta's absence already this year which shows the club have this very intention. Might I add that maubs is a great clubman and is unlikely to attract the sort of money that some of you think. Cordner is referred to as the pillar of our future pack. We will be doing everything in our power to keep him. He also loves the clubs

We lost alot in 2010 with little return so yes we can afford them but I personal cant see FPN being Re-signed. I think Tasi will also be gone next year hope im wrong but Evan looks the goods to replace him.

I'm confident the club will keep Mitchell Aubusson and Boyd Cordner. We are not even sure what the cap will increase to until the television rights deal is signed. If its 1B or 1.2b the cap will increase gradually enabling the club to either back end the contracts in years 2 and 3.

The current crop of players that have re-signed wouldn't be on more then 200-250k a season besides JWH, if you look through the latest re-signed.

We have also lost alot of players over the 300k salary in Nate Myles, Braith Anasta, Todd Carney possibly Jason Ryles which in my mind has helped the club re-sign our up and comers. I believe we are in a good position moving forward and if the club wins a competition in the next 2-3 years players will want to stay and chase the cash in the back end of their career's elsewhere i.e Bryan Fletcher, Hegarty, Wingy etc etc.

Stay Positive buddy, Boyd is a future Craig Fitzgibbon.

They are both in the clubs long term plans so don't worry

A few of my mates who support the chooks very closely think that both Boyd and Mitch Aubo will be roosters for life.

Do not read into the tinkler attempt to get Boyd. Both of them are keen to play for the chooks as long as possible.

As was pointed out earlier in the thread, players off contract at the end of next year are not re-signing until the new media deal is signed and the cap reviewed. I wouldn't read anything into it.

With all these re-signings I fear Bosden will not get his chance here.
A shame because I would have him well ahead of some of the regulars. If SBW arrives it surely is goodbye Jack.
