  • What a difference a week makes...

Just wanted to celebrate the great week it has been.

Roosters NRLW team looks unstoppable. WooHoo
    We beat The Bunnies. WooHoo
We made the eight. Phew and WooHoo
We pushed the Bunnies out of the eight. WooHoo
and last but by nowhere least
Ben *uckin' Cummins retires. Woo Hoo

Please bottle some of that and sell at the shop with a label Hot Rooster Sauce

      Good call Renman.

It occurred to me the difference one game can have...celebration or despair, happy or sad.

And its a fine line between those extremes. Imagine the post match talk on here if we'd lost to the arch and season over?

Yep it's a fine fine line.

It hurt last year getting knocked out by Souths in the finals, but given all the injuries and suspensions we had at that time we were never going to be serious contenders.

To stop them from even making it into the finals is oh so sweet.

I think we are a high chance of beating the sharks this week. In which case we would have to play Brisbane/Melbourne the following week. I feel more confident against Melb for some strange reason.. anyways one week at a time.

It wouldn't top my list but I like the women's game, don't go out of my way to watch it but if it's on I'll give it a watch, if the Roosters girls get up that's good for me.

No doubt they would get beaten by a men's team or teenage boys team just like most of the women's teams but I don't see what that has to do with supporting our women's team.

They're killing it at the moment and good for them.

a red letter weekend. great watching the women carving it up and they're looking the goods but their big games are yet to come. the game on friday might have been the most pleasing non-finals result we've ever had

Gonna let you in on a little secret. If they broadcast an under14's boys match and one of the teams represented the Rooster and they won, I would say, WooHoo. The NRLW Roosters play the best they can which is a lot more than you can say about a few NRL teams. So, if you want, you can live in your own separatist world (in which case should should you change your name to H2O boy?), and take what was supposed to be a simple positive post and make it negative and nasty topic.
That is a real skill and one I am glad I dont have or desire. Excogitate on that.

Poor form Water boy. You can have your views naturally but why start insulting a fellow rooster supporter who takes some joy in a roosters team winning and winning well.

What are you talking about? Seriously dude if you think your unintellectual jibes are going to threaten my manhood you are as mistaken about that as you are that anyone cares about what you think. By the looks of your avatar you may be Gordon Tallis's brother so that does explain a bit.

Nothing wrong with Women playing any sport and or undertaking any profession they so wish.

                          It's 2023 not 1623

It's very heartening to see the increased interest , funding and involvement that the Easts Group Board have in the Women's game and pathways, with two Academies now operating: Central Coast Roosters and Sydney Roosters.

Next Year in 2024 a Full Lisa Fiaola Cup Under 17's Junior Rep Comp for Women

Apart from the Central Coast Roosters Andrew Johns Cup Premiership win this year it's the Roosters Women's teams that have been winning comps lately - Back to Back Tarsha Gale Cup Under 19's Junior Rep comps ( 2022/23) and NRLW Premiers 2022 (1st Comp)

Could not agree with you more . Cannot compare apples with oranges. Same goes with Matildas , and look at the joy and excitement they generated. Long live the NRLW , a great product and great to watch. Appreciate both leagues for what they are !!
