Tedesco commented on this post game, said he’s come back in with a different mindset. Supposedly did a lot of video analysis in his time off, he just seemed to have so much time with his kicks tonight where as earlier in the season he seemed to be under pressure on every single kick.Originally posted by Inflictor View Post
Sammy has come back a much better player since he got dropped. Master stroke.
Would be great to see someone interview him and just dive into the little tweaks he’s made in his time off.

Great win but no way is the guru out of the woods. We should be top 4, we find ourselves relying on other results. Fact is, we were grossly unprepared for quite a lot of games as we were in 22, and that's down to Robinson.
I have posted countless times the number of games the probable best Roosters 17 have missed. In Round 21, it was more than three times Penrith's. Brisbane . Warriors . Sharks, for instance.
Add five more games tonight with JWH, Manu, Toops, Watson, and Sitili all out.
The probable best 17 have not and will not play 1 game as a combination this year.
Keary is the only player who has played all games so far this season.
You need the bulk of your best 17 to play the majority of games.
Throw in a host of players not in great form, and you have the season you have.
It's no use saying it's up to the coach to get players back in form, as there is no magic wand for this.
All the training and video sessions can only do so much time permitting, and in the end, it is up to the individual player, as after all, these are in the majority of cases vastly experienced players at the NRL and Rep level.

That’s all well and good but the coach selects the team. And Robbo continually playing people out of position contributed to the season we had.Originally posted by King Salvo View Post

I hope we never see Suaalli or Hutch in the centres again nor Manu at 5/8.
All of those things went on for too long - and that’s on the Coach.

No excuse for losing some of the games we did. Even with a couple of players out we had a far superior run on side to a lot of the teams we lost to. Even tonight we were missing 3 top liners and yet we could still account for souffs, the reason, it was a must win game.Originally posted by King Salvo View Post

3 , 2 and 1's
3. Walker
2. Tedesco
1. May
Shout outs to Radley / Pauga / E Butcher / Billy Smith / Brandon Smith
Not popular the relegation of Walker but one can see tonight an improvement in his game - still a work in progress as far as structure . game management , kicking game and D goes

But your letting Robbo off the hook far too easily.
What's he there for then. Are you saying the majority of the team was out of form all at the same time for a large chunk of the season?

So all he needed to do was watch heaps of video analysis to improve his game?Originally posted by Rooster_6 View Post

You then can't say the dropping to reserves was beneficial as he played maybe 3 games all up in the 14 weeks he was out of 1st grade due to injury.
Maybe all he needed from Robbo was extra video homework instead of being dropped.

It was the first time he played with any physicality since he came back. I agree with you, he was a big factor in turning the tide when he came onOriginally posted by Rooster_6 View Post
He was great, came on in a period when we were on the back foot and had some very strong carries and that try saver on Cam Murray was game defining. I like him as a middle forward for everything he showed tonight.
