This year our Roosters are every chance of finishing with 10 wins and falling well short of the 8 teams are hovering around 6, 7, 8 on the ladder with 11 wins already. If this impresses you then who I am to judge what you like but Holbrook’s best season isn’t far off Trent Robinson’s worst season of 6-18

Trent Robinson’s record in the last 18 months is 44 matches 23 wins 21 losses I trust that you are good enough with maths that you can tell he has a better record than 37% Robinson won more games in 2022 than Holbrook did in 2022 and 2023 combined lol he’s already won more games this year than Holbrook did in each of this season and last season. Impressive numbers we should sign him up!
We are talking about the Gold Coast Titans finishing in the Top 8 and comparing the Roosters roster and performances against theirs is not a true testament of coaching acumen. That fact Holbrook was sacked this year when they were level on points with us, taking into account their roster vs ours, I think Holbrook has some coaching acumen. I would like to see how Robinson would go coaching the Titans, I'd imagine he wouldn't get much more improvement out of them.

More importantly, he has been at the club before and was successful as an assistant and seems to command the respect of several high-profile players. Having him at the club would be beneficial. If he is such a poor coach as you say, there can be no harm in getting him to sit under Robbo and learn and would be absolutely no threat to the top gig should Robbo leave or be replaced. I think he would contribute more than Ryles did, and more than Matt King does.

This makes far too much sense to become a reality.

Your not allowed to be critical of the head coach on here I have learnt so people are looking for other outlets.

I agree with you. I do think our assistants are too inexperienced to complement him aswell though.

You could hardly say King is inexperienced though. Cordner and Friend definitely and to a lesser extent BMoz, but King is in his 10th season as an assistant

Apparently the more sensible approach is to accept mediocrity for.... reasons. Because Robbo has won premierships before he is immune to all criticism going forward, even constructive criticism involving his backroom staff. Silly us. Let's just go and buy Penriff season tickets because we are soft and way too entitled to be Roosters fans. The entitlement of us wanting to see our star-studded rep level team win more than 50% of it's games this year!

You are getting excited because a record of 10 wins 14 losses made the finals during Covid lockdowns and then you talk about people accepting mediocrity lol

One out of four isn’t great statistically speaking though. I don’t know how highly I rate Kingy if he is our attack coach.

If hypothetically floating an idea of having a former assistant coach return to the club in the role is considered "getting excited" by you then you must live a highlight reel life.

Merely discussion, which when had with you is not particularly engaging or thought-provoking given your wet blanket approach to everything.
