keary - I feel the club needs to go in a new direction next year, but he has been good also.

I haven't bagged robbo, I've supported cheese, disappointed in jwh , I thought teddy should move from fb but that may be a tad premature .

Yeah but the betting agencies had us tipped for 2nd or 3rd and if we make the 8 we've only done so off the results of others going our way. Don't get me wrong, pleased we should play finals footy but in terms of actual expectations we have massively underachieved this year.

Happy we should play finals, but to think Robbo is free of criticism because we have made a super late run to sneak in is clutching at straws imo. Not saying he should be sacked at all, so calm down, but he needs to show growth next season and show that he has learnt from it. I’m sick of relying on the last round to get us into finals. I still believe our squad is top 4 quality, or if not, knocking on the door.

Im glad to say Gus proved me wrong last night with a strong performance. Also Egan starting suprised me but it played out ok. Really happy to see him to play middle though, I don’t like him on the edge.

Everyone else I have believed in. I always had belief in Rads, Kez & the Cheese to come good, no doubt their form has been patchy though, which has cruelled us but I expected them to come good. We need to get better at sustaining that form for longer periods and preferably starting it earlier in the season.

Billy who I’ve always rated, just needed to string games together but he has pleasantly suprised me. Gun.

Suualli and Hutch I’ve always known could perform, they were just victims of being played out of position at times.

Still too early to call in my opinion.
So if we somehow win the comp this season, would you still classify it as an underachievement??

I always maintained that with Walker we were in the top 4 but his dropping and playing Manu & Suualii out of position led to disaster. It wasn’t until they returned to their spot that we began our current run but we are not there yet. So I still believe it was a bad coaching slump,. Robbo has corrected it but left our fate in other teams hands which is never good. Both Penrith and Cronulla could choose to lose to lock us out of the 8 as Canberra and North Queensland are easybeats and teams would much rather not face hardened roosters in the finals. So overall I would rate Robbo’s season as a 6.5/10

Don't all teams make the 8 based on the results of other games ? - No Team wins every game.

The Roosters have won more games than they have lost - 13-11 - So if they make the finals, it will be as a result of their own deeds during the season.

A favourable injury run and players playing a consistent level of footy across the season is the key. Noting that it is Impossible for any player to be always at their best.

Definitely helps. I’ve harped on it enough times but our injury rate needs addressing. It’s not all bad luck, something needs adjusting behind the scenes. Consistency is key which I why I was so bummed going into last nights game without JWH, Manu & Tupou.

Fingers crossed Manu is good to go next week. But who knows how long Toups is gone for, Robbo said he is no chance next week. In saying that Pauga was great last night.
