Simple really. Late shots on several key players. Pearce, Whatmough, Bird and Gallen all copped a cheap late shot and nothing was done. After Smith's outburst about Gallen talking to the refs on the field, the refs were too gutless to do anything.

I dont know why anyone is really suprised, after all it seems Origin is all about 1 team, always has been.

I just loved the ref's (not Archer, the other one) comment to gallen when he complained about a high shot .... "I'll talk to you later about it" ???
....what after the game ?

about time we had a single pommie ref come down to ref the game! no bias just play the rules, that includes another pommie foir the video ref, not r smith!

I get the feeling that the Coal Train is a loose cannon & will find the headlines (for the wrong reasons) as his head gets bigger.

Not to mention the headbutts by Nate Myles on Robbie Farrah. The first one was in the 7th minute and the one that knocked him senseless in the 14th mintue. Head clash my ar#e. They were both delberate.
