He is over rated - he's talked up as the best winger in the comp, which is something he isn't, and if he is not ready for S.O.O now then he never will be.
No offense but if he hasn't shown "what he can do" 4 years into his career then I'm afraid he could only do it in the juniors where I assume you played him..

Qld's kicking game is a hundred times better. They find the grass constantly, every one of Pearce or Carney's kick found the back three on the full !

I was watching how in the first 4 tackles there is so much vacant ground to kick at and when the 5th tackle was up, the QLD back 3 were well in place. We might be Blue but certainly not smart enough to take a chance on different tactics. Oh yes we won but could have easily lost.

when it comes to nrl games i reakon he isnt far off being the best winger, when it comes to soo he shouldnt be there game one and two showed this he isnt up to it just yet, you have to remember he is still only young give him 1 or 2 yhears and he will be a force, i played agaisnt him in under 17's and many school games and even thou it wasnt at a high level watching him on the field you could see he was going far.

In hindsight doesn't matter but we we potentially would have been up by an extra try if the refs didn't screw us. If QLD had scored in the final minutes I think more would be dirty about this call.

Carney was invisible for all but 10 mins of the game. In that 10 mins he did two really good things which got NSW over the line. He still looks nervous to me, you can see it in his goal kicking and general play kicking.

Farah still tries to do too much out of dummy half with his decision making and kicking, he cut Pearce out a few times when there was space out wide. And Pearce's kicking was part of the game plan imo. He turned QLD around and made their pack work it out from deep in their half time and time again.

What Pearce needs to do more of is take the line on with the ball in both hands and ball play at the line not before it, he has a good short ball. In the couple of times he did last night he had the QLD defenders flat footed, all he needed was a support player and he'd put them through a hole.

This has always been the rule regarding penalty tries and is flawed. If enforced to the letter, nobody can ever be awarded a penalty try, as you can't be 100% certain about anything. What if the player about to score when he is fouled has a stroke or cardiac arrest? What if he is struck by a meteor? What if an eagle swoops down onto the field and steals the football?

See what I mean? If a player deliberately commits a foul with the direct result (not on one or two tackles before) that an attacking player is unfairly denied the chance to score a try that, ON THE BALANCE OF PROBABILITY, he would otherwise have scored, then a penalty try should be awarded. Not this "certainty" bullshit, or even "beyond a reasonable doubt" (nobody is being sentenced to execution by lethal injection). Cronk manipulated this rule last night and 10 in the bin was not sufficient punishment.

This rule should be changed immediately.
