Clouding over here this morning and a strong wind blowing. Looking towards the south west there is a lot of clouds so not expecting the best conditions for the drive back to Sydney.

Sunshine here so far today. But the rain clouds are looming ominously on the radar, it will hit here but it may only be brief. There is more to the south and north but not sure if that will directly hit Sydney. On another note what a wonderful evening of television watching the replay of Leeds Uniteds victory over Liverpool with the family. To use the words of my Daughter halfway during the second half. Dad this is a really good game and it is so much more fun watching it when you know we have won and yes I enjoyed the whole experience better the second time around knowing the result but just as much as that sickly hangover feeling I had early Sunday morning had gone

Sadly the rain has returned - after spending 90 minutes yesterday afternoon pulling out weeds in the front yard. I guess they’ll all grow back again now. Arghh.

Top day here today. Cool and sunny all day with little wind. Set the mower to mulch and did the whole yard while mulching the leaves. Killed two birds with one stone. No need to rake. Looks awesome now!

Nice and overcast for the drive so far but very blustery winds and unpleasantly warm at East Maitland at the moment, looking like it could storm any moment.Now for the mad run into Sydney on the M1 after this break.

The rain is pelting down at the moment and the temperature is heading south. It looks like winter will return tomorrow with a predicted top of 12 degrees for the first day of November.

So humid here at the moment, some dark clouds suggesting storms but will wait and see. Only a couple of spots of rain just north of Gosford and around the Calga interchange on the trip home but that was it. Air conditioning on now .

What is the water temperature like in Sydney at the moment Andy ? It was cool in Port Maquarie but quickly got used to it, was slightly warmer a hours north at Grassy Head.

It is a little crisp My guess is 18 degrees I’ve just snuck down to the pub for a cheeky one or two before the Cup

Nah mate Prefer it quieter these days Happy to chill down the beach in the sun and sink a few quiet ones down the pub Will drag everyone one out if I get a result in the Cup or later on where I’ve got a couple running. I remember the year Makybe Diva won her third straight cup I was in the surf on the board it was best surf all year Had so much fun out there lost track of the time and missed the race I knew she had won as I could hear the cheering from the Surf Club

Showery, overcast and cold today. There was so much rain last night, our yards are still so soft and squelchy to walk on. My horse looked good for about 10 seconds and then seemed to run out of puff!
