Another brilliant summers day outside here in Sydney Will be off to the beach in a few hours after the gym and then lunch

Friends birthday lunch at Hugos in Manly today. Walked around to Fairlight Beach for a swim afterwards and to get away from the crowds. Very pleasant but hot and sweaty again on the way home.

We are still at the beach But you can now see the cloud to the southwest A quick look at the weather radar shows rain or at the very least cloudy weather heading this way We will try to spend another half hour here

Enjoy it while you can. We could go swimming outside we had so much rain in the one hour. Apparently there’s lots of power lines down and flash flooding across Canberra including in streets right next to us so we were lucky. It came from the south which is always worse and it looks like more storms forming south again and heading our way.

Perfect weather today for my 30km long/medium run. The rain stopped last night and it was cool, with a lovely smell of petrichor around all the mountain trails. Pushed out a decent time too, despite the elevation.

Living the dream! Times are on track for Chicago (hopefully London/Boston/Tokyo as well within ~12 months). Loving this midlife surge as I thought my running career was done for in my 20's. Loving the experience of distance training as you see far more scenery.

It’s missing here in Canberra too. It’s strange weather for January and only 21 degrees at the moment.

Yes that storm made the news here MR, especially Tuggeranong being mentioned as one of the worst spots hit.

Tuggeranong actually made the news in Sydney? Wow I’m pleasantly surprised. We usually get ignored as they only focus on the city or north and that includes the local news here. It was a bad one and just for something different it’s just been bucketing down again.
