Still only 5 degrees at 11:00 and I'm over winter before it's even started lol. With a bit of luck the sun may make an appearance in the next 2 hours.

Don’t worry MR. It is set to be stunning in the nations capital today! T/shirt weather here also. Might cut up some jalapeño cheese, get the Jatz, a nice lime and mint drink, sit on the deck take in the views of the Brindies.

Sorry if I'm making people jealous, but the weather this far north is very good.
For years I lived more inland, and the temperature in winter would regularly go below zero.
Since I bought up here two years ago, I haven't used a heater or worn a jumper.
We also get plenty of rain which I love.

For some reason I thought you were closer to Brisbane Eddie. You’re right about the weather in North Queensland. We went to Cairns in late June 2021 and it was -4 when we left Canberra at 7am and about 26 arriving in Cairns later that day!

A little bit of rain overnight certainly cleared the air and made it a beautiful fresh and clear day. Did you see the snow towards the centre of the Brindies?

I noticed it was a bit wet in the morning yesterday but never actually heard it rain. It’s very cold here again this morning. I don’t think today is going to be too pleasant at all.

I'm way south of Cairns, but about 4 hours north of Brisbane.
