So it’s quite annoying for this to happen so late in our plans. Ah well what can you do! I hope I get a few grandkids to spoil but my daughter has told me she’s not having kids haha. But she and my son are still young so I may not get any joy there until I’m mid 60s or older.
I've been an auntie since I was 5 as my sister is 18 years older than me. I get to spoil her grandchildren now and dress them up in red, white and blue.. I pretend it's 'nautical' or 'English'...

    My shares aren't as scary as I thought..but still..sigh..

Whilst some elders made plenty from it Superannuation is risky it is effectively gambling on a huge scale. The thing with gambling even if you are good at it is there are highs and lows. For a long time now with superannuation there have been highs now come the lows. Thankfully most of my money is invested elsewhere in properties Yes they are going to cop a hit price wise but that means nothing unless you actually sell it but in the meantime the rental income will go up. These grubs who run the show are stealing peoples money from right under our noses. But it is all ok because we are all in this together.

You know I actually did not know she sung the song. I was trying to manifest the sun back So turned to this song I almost chocked on my smoothie after the you tube search when I saw it was Nanna who sung it. Anyway if had a really good ending as the sun came back for the last half hour But tomorrow I’m hoping for more sun ☀️ do I can again sit down in the sun and work from the beach So I’m going to annoy people tonight by continually playing this

I must admit though Nanna wasn’t a bad sort in her day

I don't have that so I'll keep working so I can continue to afford to make a fuss over and spoil other people's children.
Ughh, i checked my super the other day and it had $3,000 wiped off It, haven't been game to check it today, lol just don't need it getting closer to my retirement, mind you just over a year ago or so my super went so far backwards but it rebounded pretty well, just hoping this is going to be a minor glitch.

Nothing too worry about by 2030 we should all be getting a UBI Of course there will be provisions like being locked into some form of social contract to get it

I did say this back in 2020 when many of us lost our jobs...it's just swings and roundabouts...my share portfolio doubled a year later so I cashed some of it in and then reinvested again when they made me a good offer..LOl..when the guys interviewed me for this current role, they said so do you have a 5 year plan? I said no I have a 15 year one......they said you are hired! I'm lucky I'm a person who loves to work so I will keep at it for as long as I can. It's quite normal in banking now to have people well into their 60's and even 70's still working with us. One man I worked with only just retired at 74 at end of last year. I'd like to be like that. There were quite a few older gentlemen I used to catch the old Dover Heights bus with from Martin Place..one ran his own investment firm well into his 80's and outlived his wife and secretary. His son ran the company with him. There was also a lovely man also well into his 80's who went to his volunteer job a lot during the week. He lives up around the back streets here..it keeps you young to have somewhere to get up and go if you are so inclined. That's why I volunteered full time whilst I was in Melbourne until I could work out what to do next.

The Royals and friends are now coming down the home straight at Royal Ascot on there horse drawn carriages The pomp pageantry and ceremony really is a sight to behold or a cringeworthy vomit fest depending on how you look at things

As I close in on my beach destination and get ready to sit near my favourite tree with the sun ☀️ shining brightly I pay homage to the sun ☀️ gods with this song

This really is a delightful treat you can feel the buzz and excitement of the crowd through the screen even with Metallica playing in the background here

Kate Middleton looks like she could do with a good feed

Well now the Royal Ascot Carnival is over and I’m about 3 grand richer from it. There is no time for celebration or reflection on this success. It is time to once again sit down work hard stick to the processes and spend a few weeks doing what I do to ensure further success before going on holiday

A number of us underpaid and unappreciated public sector workers have to struggle on with our defined benefit super schemes- how will we cope -

You know it really is a tough world. The self employed have to pay their own Super and miss out on the employer contributions. I want to access a little of mine now for reasons I won’t divulge I can do do at a cost The way I see it I might as well use it instead of paying out of my own pocket as I might be dead before I actually access it.

On another note I’m missing the nightly Royal cavalcade from last week. Also getting very excited about a potential move back up north two out of the three hurdles cleared. Mind you the last one is the biggest and most important may not want to go. If not doesn’t matter we live in a nice area here and everyone has to be happy to go

The tribes of the Aztecs used to sacrifice their leaders to the gods in case of famine or pandemics. Whilst not hinting at anything here I think this is a beautiful custom.
