Yeah as you say MR its hard to know what to do, i had the booster in early January but then got covid late March, my better half has some health issues but has been assured by the doctor that they wont need the next booster till July because of the immunity built up from having covid. we will be both due for a our flu shot soon, ouch already feeling like a pin cushion.Originally posted by mightyrooster View Post
It’s hard to know what to do isn’t it BB. I had my booster in late January too. But I think that’s enough for me for now. I do have a GP appointment soon and though and he’ll probably tell me to get the flu shot.

tbh i don't think it's hard to know what do do. take the booster when you're eligible. that's the medical advice. no guarantees the medical advice is correct but it's been given based on knowledge that the rest of us don't have and is more informed.

I will be getting mine when it is due but not sure when that is seeing i have no known medical problems, my partner has a compromised immune system but the doctor said it will be right to have in July because of the immunity built up from already having covid. I have only just felt comfortable not wearing a mask at work, i still wear one where there are crowds like when walking through shopping centres and of course on public transport where it is still mandatory but feel a lot more comfortable in most settings now not wearing one.Originally posted by zac View Posttbh i don't think it's hard to know what do do. take the booster when you're eligible. that's the medical advice. no guarantees the medical advice is correct but it's been given based on knowledge that the rest of us don't have and is more informed.Last edited by horrie hastings; 04-28-2022, 07:33 PM.

Well I saw my GP this morning and he gave me my flu shot so another sore arm for a few days lol. Like you say, feeling like a pin cushion a lot lately. We’ve still managed to avoid covid in our house. Not sure how with it ripping through schools here, but I’m not complaining.Originally posted by horrie hastings View Post

Yeah obviously you get the booster when they say but I’ve had 3 shots in 8 months, like most people, and you’d like to think you won’t have to have another one for a while. Once a year like the flu shot I could live with but 3-4 times a year I’m not so sure. And like BB was saying with the AZ v Pfizer, it’s hard to know which one is more or less suitable for each individual’s medical circumstances. I’ve had both and there are different risks with each. It’s not like I’m anti vaccination though.Originally posted by zac View Posttbh i don't think it's hard to know what do do. take the booster when you're eligible. that's the medical advice. no guarantees the medical advice is correct but it's been given based on knowledge that the rest of us don't have and is more informed.

As most would know Ive had zero vaccination for covid. I had covid courtesy of a vaccinated person. I beat it in 6 days If people want to have this vaccine go for it. But not for me Does not work doesn’t stop you from getting it doesn’t stop you transmitting it. Refreshing to see people now acknowledging potential issues that some pointed out very earlyI respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

It doesn’t stop you getting it but it minimises it’s effects, severity and time with the virus. That means it helps in limiting the spread. With a highly transmissible virus, limiting its spread is the key. Vaccinations assist greatly with this. Most do their part for the good of themselves and everyone else. Then there are the others...Originally posted by Andrew Walker View PostAs most would know Ive had zero vaccination for covid. I had covid courtesy of a vaccinated person. LOL I have posted However I am afraid the latter is out of my control Perhaps a few pearls of wisdom from yourself ( I know you have them in you ) could get Salvo to make a valuable contribution to a topic worthy of discussion.Originally posted by rented tracksuit View Post
