How many of you use the ignore setting?

I don't think some people realise how the settings work. For example, if I've blocked someone as they keep quoting some I've blocked, I have no choice but to block them also. This means that your posts are no longer visible to me. This also means that you cannot send me messages. Why would I want to read private messages from someone I've blocked?

I have recently started using the block function. Long story short, sometimes you've gotta make a call about who you deal with in life. In my case, one person is quite obviously using multiple accounts to say the same thing over and over (using a lot of unnecessary words). By blocking a very small number of accounts (belonging to the same person), I was able to whittle down ~100 page threads to ~6 pages.

While I'm a fast reader, I see this as being a significant efficiency gain.

Perhaps you won’t see I this ( others though will) as you did say I was blocked That is your prerogative and not an issue Nor is it if anyone else chooses to block me.

Difference is nobody is yet to see you start telling others I will block you if you quote anyone I’ve blocked That sort of behaviour is bullying and coercive control

Thanks 08. I have not even been told what I did so that I can defend myself. It seems I have been convicted however and now effectively excluded from threads via power of the exclusion button.

Ok so this is what’s happening. I copped enough bullying and being excluded from groups at school and it’s happening to me again 40+ years later.

The thing is if there is a poster who does not want to inter act with another There is not much of anything one can do about that.

The problem here is the poster blocking is then trying to get others to exclude you and anyone else they have blocked Now I’ve pmd Horrie Hastings about this telling him if he is to ignore you because another poster wants them to this is a reflection on them as well Jaxx and ism whom I have not messaged about this would be others whom it would reflect upon them if they are no longer to talk with you or quote you

In my world anyone who tells me or issues threats about who I cannot talk to is pissed off out of my life very quickly
