It’s amazing how a song can take you back to a certain moment in time when you heard it, whether it’s for the first time or a key moment n your life.Originally posted by Andrew Walker View Post
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is the other one I have on a par with Rocket Man I still recall the time I realised the pure genius of this song We had narrowly lost a footy GF we were expected to win. Late that night I was at a mates we were quite sombre and were just sitting around punching a few cones and sinking a few beers, with none of us really saying much when this song came on the radio. From the moment the 1st note of that piano sounded I lit up inside and smiled, then when it finished I remember saying what an absolute genius song I d never realised just how good it was I finally decided my future lies beyond the yellow brick road was telling me to move on and not dwell on the day and to enjoy the rest of the night Love how music can pick you up weh you are a bit down Now I know its not part of the theme but i have to share it
