I have a lot already in my own collection, but I do listen to something new if it's been posted by someone like Jack who knows my taste very well. Horrie Hastings and I have been trading songs for many years also. King Salvo has a wide variety of songs he posts also and I love the fact he posted the likes of Marlena Dietrich yesterday. If I find something that I've never heard before, then yes, I will save the links in a folder to listen to and watch on the weekends when I have time. I also read a lot of UK music magazines online via my local library website as they take their music very seriously over there and even though many have folded over the years, there are ones like MOJO, Classic Rock & Classic Pop who have very indepth articles, discographies, retrospectives and reviews. I also love reading the gig guides as it's great to see so many familiar names out on tour again over there and the musical festivals all started again back in June/July. Instagram is great too for musicians as they can release what they want to fans in regards to snippets of upcoming released, film clips or gigs or just re-interpret old favourites for fans around the world. Melissa Etheridge is promoting her Broadway show on there like I posted before,Last edited by redwhiteblue; 08-19-2022, 07:28 AM.

One? How about ten! Some kind person put together a playlist of Don's Duets, all love songs of course and your girl Trisha is first in the playlist. Just let this link stay on loop and there are 10 songs in the list:Originally posted by Jacks Fur Coat View Post
Great duet there RWB. The Don can find one!
Not sure who was on the piano. It was written by a guy called Mike Reid who has had some other Nashville hits. He saw this woman for the first time in a restaurant and felt he knew straight away this was the one. They've been married for over 40 years. Yes, very soulful lyrics.

.I looked up Mike and he was going to be an NFL player at one stage. He was born in 1947, the same year as David Bowie.
Drumroll please...he wrote I Can't Make You Love Me.
..covered by the likes of George Michael & Bonnie Raitt as previously posted by me (as I have those in my collection) but Prince and Carrie Underwood also covered it.
Here is Mike singing his own version at the Bluebird Cafe for a charity gig for a hospice with Michael Mcdonald whom I've also posted in another thread (he had a hit here with I Keep Forgetting We Aren't In Love Anymore)

and here is Prince's version:

Why do you then do what you don’t like?Originally posted by eddie View Post
Yes
I prefer the ones that are directly linked to utube so that I can listen to them even after changing page on this site.
Hit the chain link looking button on the top left of the post box (above the B for bold button)
then paste and ‘add link’
Voila

I don't know what you're saying I don't like?
And I already know how to post songs from utube.

There is the 'movie reel' icon next to the quotations marks icon. When you hover over it, it says 'insert video'. Is that what you are referring to? I like to add both to give everyone a preview of what I'm posting.Originally posted by A Country Member View PostWhy do you then do what you don’t like?
