Whitney was never one of my favourites but i do admit she did have a lovely soul full voice at one time. However blaming all her problems on her ex boyfriend is laughable, she had the drug problem a long time before meeting him.Originally posted by OVP View PostYou see kiddies, there is a God !!

It's funny,if i know i'm cooking for people before hand i'm fine but it is a last second thing i often panic.I ran into a couple of friends at the beach and before i knew it i had invited them home for dinner,i was already making stroganoff that night for dinner and i knew i had enough ingrediants to feed four,i tweeked my old fashion recipe a bit and it came out even tastier than usual, and yes i added the sour cream at the end, still have plenty of sour cream left over now.Originally posted by WickedAngel View PostHorrie, does this mean we can all put in an order for some of your beef strog? Discovered my local butcher makes a mean strog.....just have to add sour cream towards end of cooking.

Thinking of heading to the West Coast of the US later in the year for a short trip mainly to see San Francisco which i have never been to,will probably do the tourist trap of LA and also visit a friend who is working on Phantom Of The Opera in Las Vegas. Not sure whether do this short trip or wait to 2011 when i'm planning to go to Europe again.

horrie, i ff i may put in my two bobsworth, san fran is my favourite city in the usa, good food, crazy people, plenty to see and do, this year might be the zenith of the aussie dollar, the us dollar may recover next year, thus making your trip more expensive! iff you want some tips re sfo and straight places pm me at your leisure, ive also got a contact with a hotel chain called joire de vivre. cheers steve

Thanks StephenJ.
I really want to go to San Fran and thinking if i don't do it this year it will be another 3 to 4 years till i go.
I'm doing Europe in 2011 so i'm trying to justify whether another trip before hand is warranted, what you say about the aussie dollar makes sense though and there are some decent airfares available also.
When i'm doing Europe i will probably come back via New York but that would be the only US stop over because tacking the West Coast onto that only makes the trip far to long.
So if i don't do San Fran this year it will probably be 2013, hmmm lots of thinking to do.

I stayed at the Naviti about 18 months ago and it was very good. If you have young kids or older kids in fact, there is plenty for them to do which allows mum and dad to relax. The rooms are not 5 star but they are cleaned daily and the food is plentiful. The best thing was that you did not have to keep paying for drinks, food, etc. I would go back there.Originally posted by spanner View PostThnks Loz,I am trying to decide between there or the Naviti again for next year.
Your photos look good and show it pretty well.
The beach though is not the white sandy stretch you might expect of Fiji....
