Thanks for the tip RWB. Never been a hardcore fan, but enjoyed this insight. Their achievements that still endure are legendary. Probably our greatest musical export.

They just nailed the essence of Rock, and played it consistently with that unique hard sound. Had to come from the genius of the Young brothers, incl George in a production sense.

I remember having posters on the wall of Bon, Angus, Marc Evans and Phil Rudd as the lineup back in the day. Amazing that Angus is still treading the boards (literally) at 70 years.

Glad the clip was useful and I hope Renty has a great time at the show. I'm saving it to watch next weekend. I'm not the biggest fan of Channel 7 but they do love their music specials and documentaries. Pity they took down the Cold Chisel 50th anniversary concert so soon as there were different tracks to the usual greatest hits and I would have liked to watch it again.

Here is the link to 7PLUS where you can watch it on demand.

Side note, they have the film of INXS Live Baby Live from Wembley with 2 of the band watching it in a cinema..they mentioned how they played there previously supporting Queen and got all sorts of stuff thrown at them by the crowd..they regrouped and vowed to come back one day as headliners..5 years and 1 day later that happened..how's that for manifesting your dreams?

I saw AC/DC in Canberra in the 90’s. The Living End was the support act. It was a fun concert. I much prefer the Bon Scott era. Actually apart from Back In Black the Bon albums are the only ones really worth owning / hearing.

When I was nursing at the old Callum Park Rozelle psych hospital that guy who called up triple M worked there as a mini bus driver, he wasn't too different to some of the patients.
He copped it for years after that. It was hilarious.

Bless him Mickie. That's a difficult job and a thankless one at that.

More on my ipod this afternoon. This one we all know..Hells Bells

If you live in Perth and going to the concert try and get in early and watch the support act. The Southern River Band are awesome and will be Australia's next big rock export!

My favourite tune of theirs is 'Fark You, Pay Me'

                    • I have today off work so watching the special now on 7PLUS. I remember when Malcolm Young passed away and Rolling Stone magazine had done a feature on him. I'd been at the Double Bay library flicking through the magazines and the librarian told me that someone had ripped out all the pages of his article and they had to go across the road to the newsagency to replace the issue..My sister used to work for Ashfield Council and Augus' uniform was from when he went to school in the area. She said that she'd expect that sort of behaviour from the locals but not in Double Bay..we were trying to imagine some little old lady in pearls and cashmere ripping out AC/DC articles from magazines..

                      • If you can get tix to Tuesday night, do it!

ACDC may have greyer hair and move a little slower but they are still as full of energy, power and as loud as ever!

If youve never seen them live, even if you aren’t a rock fan, it’s a show not to be missed! Get yourself out there.
