Surely someone must have been concerned about me and confided in RWB I just don’t understand why someone would bring another’s mental health into question like this. Please come forward if you didI respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Just tested positive to the 'Rona.
Sigh... I've avoided it for so long. Kinda glad I got it just after arriving home from Japan (won't speculatetoo much about how I got it but Haneda airport was a mess as you need a negative test + special visa to get into Japan, but all the partygoers from Bali and Thailand were transiting there without a test... most of them without masks either).
Fortunately my symptoms are mild (I have my 4 vaccines) and I assumed my sore throat was a result of exposure to dust or something.
Oh well. I'm now isolating in one of our guest bedrooms (an isolated one down the hallway) that has a nice ensuite, views of Telstra Tower, garden access (have already pinched a grapefruit from the neighbours' tree that hangs over our fence as I was hungry) and my Nintendo Famicom. I suspect I'm about to get really good at playing Mario. Mild symptoms thus far so quietly... I don't really mind having a bit of a rest.

Hope you only have mild symptoms ism, despite having it already once i'm very apprehensive about flying again, even though i'm only heading to Darwin i'm dreading being at the airport and on the plane, probably over reacting but would be nice to have a break away without any virus affecting it. Glad you got back from Japan and were able to enjoy the trip before getting it and at least you are in the comfort of your own home while isolating.Originally posted by ism22 View PostJust tested positive to the 'Rona.

Very dark day here. Found out by his morning a friend whom I knew for close to forty years and who loved the Roosters as much as anyone in here recently passed away. Even sadder was after contacting a friend.
I found out she spent the last few months homeless and was found dead in a park and that nobody knew she was in this situation. So many of us would have helped her given her a roof over her head had we known. There was not a single bad bone in her body. A good fun woman gone way too early RIP my friend heaven has recently gained a good one. I hope you are looking down and guiding the Roosters home this year.I respect all our moderators here. I want to send my thanks and gratitude to the lovely people who reached out to me after recent incidents. I'm astounded at the kindness of people I've never met in person who have had similar experiences. Thanks for making me feel welcome back on here again and thank you for also sharing your pain with me. It's been a truly dreadful year for losing loved ones, even those in the public eye, but were loved by us anyway. Father's Day is this weekend and I know for some of you, this will be the first or even just the second year without your dads, so I'll be thinking of you. For the Roosters dads on here, wishing you and your families a lovely week ahead, along with a Roosters victory on Friday to start the weekend for you all.

Yeah, I feel sometimes we forget how lucky we are to not have to face such hardships.Originally posted by Andrew Walker View Post

I would just like to comment on how unwelcome some members have made me feel this past week or so. It’s sad to see that even in this day and age, at my later stage in life, bullying and harassment is still possible. On the other hand some other members have been very kind and caring. I have genuinely wrestled with the idea of whether to quit this forum over this time but my love of the Roosters and seeing the team continue it’s charge into the finals has kept me here.
Fortunately I have built up a great deal of resilience over the years. Early September is a tough time of the year for me personally as it will be 3 years since I lost my Dad, only a week after Father’s Day. Also, having just gone through the anniversary of Mum’s passing in August.
Take care everyone. Stay strong and try to remember the things which are most important in life.
