Lets see, last Sunday lunch, whole grilled snapper, yamba prawns, garlic prawns, real prawn cutlets[not the frozen ones], oysters, chilli mussels, squid and even a little bit of batterd fish, a great family get together.

On the Saturday, had grilled blackfish, oysters and prawns and real chips too both days, not the horrible frozen varieties some fish shops use.

You are missing your seafood aren't you Ralph.

Also caught 3 nice bream and a flounder over the weekend

It might be if you are Dutch! What I have had tastes like the sock off MRIHKs driving foot after a night on the streets of Honkers!

The prawns are ok though. In fact, the nicest prawns I have ever had came from a little town on the coast of France. Bloody delicious!

You are one spoilt bastard! When we are up that way, I love going down to the trawlers in Cabbage Tree Creek and getting a fresh bag of prawns. Nothing like getting them straight off the boat! Sad that the fish co-op is no longer though.

Traditional...??? Hmmmmm They claim Satay as their own. They really go for indo food here and it has become a bit of a staple.

A traditional Dutch snack would be a Satay chicken stick or Bitterballen which is a deep fried ball of unrecognisable slop. Also, a plate of mashed potato with chopped spinach mixed into it and a Rookworst on top would be a regular Dutch meal. They also go for a lot of seafood and are quite drawn to anything fondue.
