Not bad atm thanks Stephen. Learnt to live with the hernia pain now and its not really a problem. I am going to wait until I get back to Aus to have it fixed there. Apparently its no simple fix and i have no faith in the medical system here.Originally posted by stephenj View Posthows the health in sunny netherlands now filthy?
Sunny Netherlands is right today mate, the sun is out for once and the place is covered in a foot and a half of snow so its quite pretty right now. Makes for a lot of fun driving!
Thanks also backwards. Would be great to celebrate with a game of footy tho.

i hads an inguinal hewrnia done at scottish hospital waverly as a young guy, was back playing grade 6 weeks later, of course i was in my 2os then, now in my 60s, but im surfing everymorning at cronulla and walking the beach to get my cardio working ready to have a big year playing golden oldies, at 61 youve got to expect every season to be your last so go for it when you can!lastr season i even go 5 minutes for my club side agaibnst randwick a in the bowral sevens, id forgotten how hard 18 year volds hit! although then whilst bludging on the blind a silly young boy ran at me , i buried him with my shoulder under his ribs , when he got up he said" i wasnt expecting that one!" i can safly say those days are now over for me! the public hospital system in australia is e3xcellent, i pay fopr private as well, just in case of injury! I LOOK FWD T O MEETING YOU ON YOUR RETURN TO OZ!

Thanks old mate. We too have private cover but would only use it for the kids. The public system works very for us as well. We are better off using it for all the kidney stuff anyway.Originally posted by stephenj View Posti hads an inguinal hewrnia done at scottish hospital waverly as a young guy, was back playing grade 6 weeks later, of course i was in my 2os then, now in my 60s, but im surfing everymorning at cronulla and walking the beach to get my cardio working ready to have a big year playing golden oldies, at 61 youve got to expect every season to be your last so go for it when you can!lastr season i even go 5 minutes for my club side agaibnst randwick a in the bowral sevens, id forgotten how hard 18 year volds hit! although then whilst bludging on the blind a silly young boy ran at me , i buried him with my shoulder under his ribs , when he got up he said" i wasnt expecting that one!" i can safly say those days are now over for me! the public hospital system in australia is e3xcellent, i pay fopr private as well, just in case of injury! Sound like your going well old mate with the footy and the surfing. I hope I can one day in the future keep up that level of sports activity in my old age! It sounds like your not treating it as old age though mate. Well done to ya!
