Was taken here for dinner not long ago, very nice, had the trust the chef option which was good but saw lots of other things on the menu which I would like to try.The duck salad was yummy, the main drawback is its in the middle of nowhere and no mobile phone reception if you want to ring a cab but at least the restaurant will do that for you on their landline.

Went to Cafe Sopra @ Fratelli Fresh on Bridge St last week for a birthday catch up with a friend and it was indeed delicious. We sat at the benches watching the chefs and everything looked amazing. I had the osso bucco as I never cook it for myself and it came with lots of those little potatoes which was great on such a rainy day. My friend had the ragu with pasta. They don't take bookings but have several options for seating arrangements. I want to go back just to look at the retail section. They also do an amazing banoffee pie from reviews but I'm not a big fan of bananas.

Yep, it is the middle of nowhere and really not close to any major transport hub so almost impossible to get to unless you have a desiginated driver, good food like this always deserves a good wine so our group decided to cab it, between 4 it wasn't to bad to and from St Peters.

I shop a bit at Fratelli in Dank St Waterloo but there is always a queue to get into their Café Sopra so haven't tried it, sounds like the Bridge st one is worth checking out.The Dank St outlet is actually closing very soon and moving into the site of the Balaclava Hotel in Alexandria.

I want to try this place out, it's just across the road from Dan Murphys in Alexandria , known a few people who have been there and they rave about it.

Hey Conceirge, yeah- been to 4fourteen 3 times now. They do a 4 course degustation thing for $65, and it's great value....the 16 hour cooked brisket is worth $65 on it's own.

Love the place. A seat at the counter is awesome for two, but if you have a bigger party, the service is great.

Highly recommend it.

Yeah, the pigs ears are pretty good, one of my fave places to go.

SC, Coles on King St took away my $2 crinkle cut hot chips!! I'm off eating that rubbish anyways now as we have to be in a healthy fighting status to take on Souths and Melbourne fans in the finals.

I went into the bush today..into the wild depths of Bellevue Hill to be exact and I found this beautiful cafe I'd read about in the Wentworth Courier, Cafe Arno:

I went just for the breakfast crumble which they serve all day (I was there just after 1pm) and it was just delicious. Rhubarb, apples, oats and good quality vanilla yoghurt on the side. I didn't even ask for a menu as I just wanted to try it and it was worth the visit. I'm still not hungry now and I'm usually ravishing every couple of hours.. The service was very attentive and thorough and each dish coming out to all the lovely beautiful retired people sitting in the winter sunshine looked fresh and healthy. I also love the fact the tables aren't all squished in on top of one another which is a pet hate of mine, particularly in the eastern suburbs and inner west cafes. The owner came over 3 times to make sure everything was ok and he was thrilled I had the newspaper article in my bag to show him why I came over, so I wanted to give him a plug on here.

I went into that Coles a few weeks ago and couldn't find the crinkle cut chips so left and jumped on the train to Milsons Point to have fish and chips instead.
Had lunch today at Warriewood, a little non descript café which looked like a tuckshop right on the beach, food basic but a fantastic view, then had some of the nicest Thai food for dinner at Tempe of all places.

Thai Baitong at Tempe, nice new discovery, have driven past it so many times but decided to eat here tonight, so glad I did, want to go back again soon.

on a travelzoo voucher, $59 for three courses plus a bottle of wine for 2 people, sometimes with these vouchers you get a limited menu or dumbed down menu but not here, everything was available and it was great.Had the arincini balls and the egg plant brushchetta which were great, then spatchcock and duck lasagne for mains, spatchcock beautiful but the duck lasagne was a bit too rich, it was still nice though.I liked the look of the pizzas going out so will definitely go back and dine there again, service was excellent too, great value for $59.

Quite frankly, it sounds like a bore fest to me...
