Watched the funniest Goldie Hawn/Steve Martin movie Housesitter for the first time in ages. Truly one of the classic comedies with memorable lines. I love when he calls her "The Ernest Hemmingway of BS". Great chemistry by 2 of the best for onscreen chemistry.

Bates While I'm here, I meant to tell you about these other shows I love.
Return to Paradise on iview set on a coastal town with lots of great Australian actors. It's a detective series with a lot of humour.
The other is Your Friends & Neighbours with Jon Hamm and amazing upstate New York real estate. Great crime/business caper and has been renewed for season 2."Never sacrifice your class to get even with someone who possesses none. Their karma will come and if you are extra lucky, you get to watch."

I'll definitely give them a go. The NY real estate show sounds good.

) and he has a fancy home in this amazing area called Westchester. It's filmed there and also along the Hudson Valley. There are country clubs, tennis courts, fancy watch collections, retired NBA players and fast cars.
I've always loved Corbin Bernsen from years ago too.
Here's the trailer and enjoy!

I was waiting for Alec Baldwin to appear as it lends itself to his style of acting.

but it was ready for me to watch on a Friday night last year. Let me know what you think if you decide to watch. Season 2 is coming in April.
I also like the actress who plays Jon Hamm's sister. She has an amazing voice. Yes, I always liked those 90's movies with Alec Baldwin and I've watched a few old Harrison Ford, Michael Douglas & Richard Gere movies over the holidays. They were always my favourite leading men.
It's past my bedtime, even for holidays..
Chat soon Bates and stay safe. I only just saw you other post in the Bondi Beach thread about your sons living around here too and I hope everyone is feeling ok. I ran into a work mate in Coles Westfield the other day (no Dom Young sightings, sigh
) and he said to me "Bernie, Bondi Beach is the beating heart of Sydney."..and that's coming from a Souths fan.

You are very welcome Bates. I watched an episode myself last night from season 2 and only have 2 to go. I'll finish them today and there should be a season 3 much later this year around November. I love the revolving door of whose who as the guest stars plus have always loved Catherine McClements from her time in Water Rats. I like the character played by Celia Ireland too. Retired as a school teacher but working as a volunteer with the local police. That's such a good use of her skills and time. I still have 17 years to go until I retire but I'd like to then use my skills doing something worthwhile like that when I do.Originally posted by Bates View Post

I can't remember if I mentioned My Life is Murder to you also previously but the first 4 seasons are free to stream on 9NOW. It was filmed in Melbourne but then production moved to New Zealand when Lucy Lawless decided to move back to her home country. Spectacular NZ scenery also in the later seasons and again, light humour mixed in with the crime solving stories to stop it being a boring generic procedural.
Also, Britain's Most Expensive Houses is on SBS on Demand. I've seen all of those and am up to season 3. I know you like good quality real estate and this show is good because it just focuses on the properties and is not one of those awful reality shows where they are too busy waffling on about the personal lives of the agents themselves. I prefer the British ones because they are polite, calm and understated.
Enjoy and stay cool today!

Have you watched Summer Love on iview? it's awesome. It's a shame they stopped after the 8th episode!
Under The Vines is another very good series.

Loved Summer Love also, i loved how the property and surrounding areas added to the different and often complex story lines every week.
The Family Next Door which was on the ABC last year was a nice tight little series which also had Catherine McClements in it, think it should still be on IVIEW

Yes I did watch Summer Love and that's one of Sherbet's greatest songs as well. Under the Vines was just beautiful and as Horrie mentioned, The Family Next Door was excellent. I love Teresa Palmer, particularly since she portrayed Michelle Payne in Ride Like a Girl. She's also in another mini series called The Last Anniversary with Angela Punch Macgregor which I'm yet to watch, written by the same Australian author who wrote Big Little Lies.Originally posted by Bates View Post

There is also Darby & Joan on iview with Bryan Brown and Greta Scacchi, with more coastal crime solving."Never sacrifice your class to get even with someone who possesses none. Their karma will come and if you are extra lucky, you get to watch."

For the film buffs, Discovering Film on SBS on Demand. Series 12 & 13 are available to stream and this series is good because it's factual and not one of those tabloid shows. It just focuses on the rise of the actor and covers a detailed history of their work. I really enjoyed the episodes on Michael Douglas & Harrison Ford and there was also one for Diane Keaton.
The Sally Field one is next for me to watch
